MSNBC says Ron Paul finished strong in NH

They want to report this so you'll feel happy with the scraps thrown from the master's table rather than get angry and demand a fair vote.

you guys just dont get it--- people do not know his name-- I went canvassing in Michigan only 4 people out of the ones I had met have heard of him

Paul isn't even on my county GOP website as a candidate. I have tried contacting them as a new resident without mentioning Paul. My precinct needs a captain.

Melissa, this is absolutely true

The longer he can stay in that longer he gets at least minimally exposed and
more sheeple come to and see the wolf at the door.

You're probably correct. I don't how our side has more activists, Meet Ups, Myspace friends, road signs, etc. than anyone else and we only get 8-10% of the vote. I mean, am I to believe that our activists will put up signs on freeways and meet weekly but not vote for the man who inspired

http://www.americanfreepress.net/08_01_03/Electronic_Voting/electronic_voting.html them to do all this??

Well, at least in NH, almost all of the activists I met there drove in from out of state, like me. We made calls, hung signs, etc., but it's not like any of us were registered NH voters.

This hang-up on how many MeetUps, etc, we have has to be eliminated. No other candidate in the GOP field bothers organizing activists using MeetUp in any serious way. Of COURSE we have more MeetUp groups than other candidates. Ron Paul's campaign website LINKED to MeetUp over 7 months ago, at the latest. The fact that we're wired doesn't mean anything if we don't win over Joe Sixpack, who checks his work e-mail, sends some dirty joke forwards, maybe looks at the sports scores, but otherwise doesn't give much of a damn for the internet.

While I haven't seen the numbers, I'm also wondering what the youth vote turn out actually was in NH. Being both we and Obama were counting on young voters, and we both had crap nights, I'm wondering if, once again, the youth stayed home.

This is absolutely true. I am convinced that anybody who doesn't realize this is spending too much time on the internet.

Ron Paul did VERY well in New Hamshire. What you guys are saying is exactly what I've experienced. People don't know who he is, or have only heard his names.
The internet is our strength and our weakness.

+The Amount of Your Choice to both you and Melissa.

While I think folks in states like NH and Iowa knew who he was, I can tell you in NY it's still a struggle just getting the word out. The (NeoCon) Daily News will only reference Ron Paul as "the anti-war, pro-pot libertarian Ron Paul", and even then, it has to be an article about Rudy. (The NY Newsday is slightly more fair.) I found up in Orange County, too, there are large chunks of people who don't know from Ron Paul.

You hit the nail on the head there.

As long as the media keeps ignoring him, he wont win. Its a sad but true fact guys, WAKE UP. The overwhelming majority of people we need to vote for him dont even know who he is, or just repeat what the bobbleheads on TV say. Shit, early in both Iowa and New hampshire, the MSM wasnt even putting him in their little pie chart - although he was ahead of the Ghoul and Thompson a couple of times. Unfortunately, these people honestly think the news is gospel, and that its not wrong.

I'm sorry, but if people think we can do this without the media, then they are not living in reality.

Is this thread a troll party or what? Too much time on the internet? Is it internet fraud? Hey if you don't mind having your vote thrown in the trash that's cool.

I'm sorry, Catatonic, how much time have you spent actually canvassing? How many calls did you make to voters and potential voters in New Hampshire and Iowa?

I'm all for investigating the NH results if this Sutton story holds water, but if you think we'd be sitting pretty right now if it wasn't for Diebold, you're living in a dreamworld. The MSM is the news source of choice for MOST AMERICANS. In case you haven't noticed, the MSM doesn't do crap for Ron Paul. Wishing real hard, writing posts online and freeping polls isn't going to win us an election, or even change the debate in the country. We still have tons of work to do in just spreading the message.

Get off yer ass and come down to SC this weekend!!!

Maybe people were too busy on the Internet to get out and vote. Or, maybe while we were doing all that stuff, the other campaigns were going door to door canvassing to win voters.

I'm placing a ton of "Who is Ron Paul?" ads in my classifieds starting Sat., and am going precinct walking for the first time!

We must get the word out!

As long as the mainstream media can make facts fiction and vice versa there's no way we're going to win the sheep over. We have to shock them, upset them, force them, to think for themselves.
