Earlier this morning MSNBC ran a story about John McCain and MSNBC claimed McCain has the most MySpace friends of all the Republican Candidates at 39,000 friends. That is laughable, because Ron Paul has over 88,000 very ACTIVE friends on MySpace.

I just let MSNBC know the error of their reporting. You can too, by calling MSNBC at 201-583-5000.

Lol

Me: "You reported today that John McCain has the most MySpace friends-"

MSNBC Guy: "Yes, we know, Ron Paul has 88,000 MySpace friends; we have the information and we'll pass it on."

Oh, he sounded annoyed. :)

Hardly a heinous transgression.

We get the most love on MSNBC.

Also you can send an email to [email protected], even if not directly related to that show since the same email screeners are used.

They also misquoted the Iowa poll results today, easily verified at :

Even honest mistakes should be pointed out, let them check their work before sending it out over the airwaves to millions who won't check for accuracy - that is irresponsible journalism and laziness.

STOP ANNOYING PEOPLE!!!! I'm starting to get annoyed with fellow supporters. Please just be courteous and polite. When a station gets hundreds of phone calls for what was probably an honest mistake, that is wrong and I am sure they find it annoying and obnoxious.

In my line of work, an honest mistake is called "malpractice". They have a responsibility to check their facts before reporting them. Don't misunderstand me -- it doesn't give us a license to be rude or obnoxious. But, we are completely justified in politely pointing out their mistakes.

Why, during this entire process, have there not been any "honest mistakes" that favored Ron Paul?

When the media makes a mistake about any of the other candidates, apparently not many people point it out to them. When they make a mistake about Paul, apparently they're inundated. Considering 80% of Americans regularly use the Internet, isn't it safe to say that Paul has, contrary to what the media often claims, a great deal more support than the other candidates?

Note that I'm differentiating between support and "umm, I guess I like him best, or at least dislike him least".
