Here's some favorable coverage from the media, and apparently the Internet now belongs to Ron Paul (eat your heart out Al).

This really was a tremendous night for Ron Paul and an amazing victory. We beat McCain in a race where we are up against not only the candidates but a media that can't get anything right whenever it isn't ignoring us. This was a clarion call that Ron Paul is a serious candidate, more viable than Rudy, and in it for the long haul!

Give big on MLK day to send a powerful message about this movement and the people in it!

Olberman is such a hack.

Nobody pointed out that Ron Paul was only a few votes behind Rudy that one time.

"this second place finish will be trumpeted on HIS internet"

It's Ron Paul's internet now!

Olberman is a complete moron who never makes sens anyway, i watched his show once and i just could not understand anything he said, now i know why i don't buy any Microsoft products or watch MSNBC cuz their products suck!

The shame of it is that it was only being reported from the context of the "race" and how a 2nd place finish will keep a libertarian-ideals candidacy limping along in futility. It's funny how people like Jay Leno, Bill Maher, and Colbert "get it" and readily acknowledge that RP's message is a wake-up call to America.... but the pundicizing press fails to ever "see" this angle.

I love watching Olbermann every now and then, but he's completely out of touch with reality sometimes.

Olbermann doesn't like McCain or Republicans in general, which is why he prefaced his comment with "and listen to me defending my second Republican of the night" - as in being shocked to be having to do it. Despite his loathing for McWar, which he has expressed in other broadcasts,* he wanted to report fairly.

As Olbermann pointed out, at that time only eight votes separated 2nd place from 3rd. Had the situation been reversed with our candidate nipping at the other's heels, wouldn't we have been down the journalists' necks if they'd not mentioned that?

*Commenting on one of the debates, Olbermann named McWar as the 2nd "worsest person" for having referenced Hitler in his response to RP.

It is important to note that at the moment Olbermann made that comment, McCain was actually 108 votes behind RP, not 8 votes.

Exactly. And it dovetails perfectly with our local Las Vegas news affiliate of ABC saying that McCain had finished second. And that was five hours after we knew that Ron Paul finished second.

And thanks to Jeff Greenspan and Carl Bunce for sitting in Republican HQ all day until they kicked them out, to make sure there was no funny business with the ballots.

The National Campaign, the Live Free or Die people and the canvassers from Iowa did an outstanding job of assisting for the last few weeks here. And they worked late into the night, then early the morning of the caucus to make sure our caucus sites ran smoothly. I didn't even know the guy helping me count the votes at my caucus site was from National until he told me, as he was leaving for Louisiana.

The way everyone worked as a team here was amazing. As with any endeavor on a scale as large as this, it takes some time to work things out. They seem to have done that and that's a big part of the reason things went smoothly in Nevada. Every time the party tried to F us, we were right on it, fixing the problem.

Thanks everyone. We can never really repay you all.
