edit: talked to Sara Parker, asked her how it was that Rudy Guiliani is on this forum but Ron Paul isn't when Ron Paul has defeated Guiliani in every primary except New Hampshire. she said she would "pass along my concerns". I asked her if she had an opinion and she said yes but she wouldn't tell me what it was.

Keep it polite :)

Bump for the rEVOLution!!!

total brainwashing going on - the media has this power play of "we can control what americans will see and think and therefore who they will vote for"

it makes me sick

then i hear my mom and so many people say "wow - I really agree with Ron Paul, but i'm going to vote for _______ (other candidate) because they will most likely win the election

what the #$@#$^!@#%&!#^@#$%@#$%@@

There are many supporters spending all their time trying to get various media interests to take Ron Paul seriously. These media interests DO take Ron Paul seriously. That is why some in the old media do want you to take him seriously. Ron Paul is a threat to the continuation of the war which many of them falsely promoted. He is the only real threat to runaway spending in Washington that narrow special interests need to keep floating.

Is spending so much time attacking the media going to help Ron Paul get elected? I do not know the answer to that for sure. But my gut instinct is that working your neighborhood is FAR MORE VALUABLE that beating the dead horse of the Old Media if you had to choose between the two, given our limited time to get the word out before Super Tuesday and other upcoming primaries.

It is MOST valuable, at this time, for supporters to canvas every neighborhood in the country door to door.

Please connect with a local precinct leader in your neighborhood. Even better, join up as a precinct leader yourself if you have not already done so. This way you can be organized to make sure everyone for miles around your neighborhood knows who Ron Paul is and what he really stands for. Ron Paul is the only candidate still running who voted against the invasion and occupation of Iraq at all turns and he clearly knows what sound monetary policy is and how to achieve it for our country. There are millions and millions of people across the country who do not yet know these facts and you can help change that today.

Thank you for your valuable support.

Sincerely Yours,
Greg Chamberlain

canceling will not help one bit. Stay in the front lines.

People are competitive and they don't like losing. They'll bet on the shiniest car, just for bragging rights.

"If you vote for Ron Paul you will win a free country!"

I can not believe the Ghoul is included. He has less total votes this primary season than RP?

I called and left messages for each of them - I as well spoke with Sara - she was polite - I expressed my concerns of media manipulation based on the freedoms upon which this country was founded, included stats of RP vs Giuliani vs Thompson, # of votes, etc.

Sara thanked me and said the Ron paul is lucky to have supporters like me / us behind him and that she will share my sentiments with the heads at MTV and Myspace.

We NEED to be on the MSM, the very few of us that will canvass WILL NOT BE ENOUGH. When I canvass, I get very few people that will vote for him. Why, you ask?

The #1 reason I always get is because the he is NEVER on the news, and they know nothing about him. Dropping off lit isnt good enough, several people that "looked into him" are now voting for the Ghoul or McCain. Why?

You hit the nail on the head.

Some facts I'm including in my email:

In New Hampshire, Ron Paul won 19% of the 18-24 year old vote, placing second after John McCain, and 15% of the 25-29 year old vote, placing third ahead of Mike Huckabee.
In Michigan, Ron Paul won 19% of the 18-29 year old vote, placing third ahead of Mike Huckabee.
In Nevada, Ron Paul won 19% of the 18-29 year old vote, placing second after Mitt Romney.

Ron Paul has received more total votes so far (106,414) than Rudy Giuliani (60,220). Ron Paul has beat Rudy Giuliani in 4 of the 5 states to vote so far. Yet, you have invited Rudy Giuliani but not Ron Paul.

Ron Paul has more MySpace friends than any other Republican candidate. His Facebook groups have more members than those of any other Republican candidate. He has the most popular YouTube videos of any Republican candidate. He has more search engine hits than any other Republican candidate. In all those categories, he even rivals the other "youth favorite," Barack Obama

Thats a good idea, I think..to threaten to cancel it. If that is what they want, then they should know why it happened. They should get a chance to change their mind before e1 cancels. Now the Internet is attempting to censor RP..it is really a time the MySpace subscribers should fight-not just cancel their account.

I have called and emailed all three organizations demanding to know why Giuliani is included and RP has been excluded. Here is my email...

I would like to have your organization address why Rudy Giuliani is being included in this debate and Ron Paul is being excluded. Ron Paul has received more votes this primary season than Giuliani. Additionally, Ron Paul has received two 2nd place finishes. Something Giuliani has not achieved and probably won't. Ron Paul also raised more money than Giuliani last quarter. Clearly, Giuliani is not a top tier candidate, no matter how much the mainstream media wishes it to be so.

This is such crap, Rudy Giuliani gets coverage but Ron Paul doesn't? When Giuliani has consistently placed lower than Ron Paul. Man I just don't get it.

do you really think they care about emails and calls ?

STAND UP FOR YOUR COUNTRY and protest, stick your message in their face.

do it peacefully but do it !

When asked to offer a toast at the annual dinner of the New York Press Club in 1953, John Swinton, the editor-in-chief of The New York Times, a man revered by his peers as the dean of his profession, rose to the occasion by finding the courage to make the following confession.

"There is no such thing as an independent press in America at this date of the world’s history. You know it and I know it. There is not one of you who dares to write your honest opinions, and if you did, you know beforehand that it would never appear in print.

"I am paid weekly for keeping my honest opinion out of the paper I am connected with. Others of you are paid similar salaries for similar things, and any of you who would be so foolish as to write honest opinions would be out on the streets looking for another job. If I allowed my honest opinions to appear in one issue of my paper, before twenty-four hours my occupation would be gone.

"The business of the journalist is to destroy the truth, to lie outright, to pervert, to vilify, to fawn at the feet of mammon, and to sell his country and his race for his daily bread. You know it and I know it, and what folly is this toasting an independent press?

"We are the tools and vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are the jumping jacks; they pull the strings, and we dance. Our talents, our possibilities, and our lives are all the property of other men.

"We are intellectual prostitutes."

Emailed - not ever again using/watching all service of and related to MTV and MySpace while boycotting their advertisers.

Okay, here's the full text of my email to all the people listed as contacts earlier in the thread:

I notice that you have not invited Ron Paul to participate in an upcoming special of yours on the presidential election, yet you have invited the 4 other Republicans still running. As a recent college graduate who believes you provide an indispensable service to young voters, I'm amazed and offended you could overlook such a major candidate. To put things in perspective:

Ron Paul has finished second twice (Nevada and Louisiana) while Rudy Giuliani has finished fourth in one state and sixth in all others. You have invited Rudy Giuliani.

Ron Paul has more MySpace friends than any other Republican candidate. His Facebook groups have more members than those of any other Republican candidate. He has the most popular and viewed YouTube videos of any Republican candidate. He has more search engine hits than any other Republican candidate. In all those categories, he even rivals the other youth favorite, Barack Obama.

He is the only candidate in either party to have voted against the war in Iraq, to continuously oppose it unequivocally, and to propose immediate withdrawal (the three major Democrat candidates recently backtracked from earlier statements indicating a willingness to have troops stay there through 2013 and beyond). This war is more strongly opposed by my generation than by the population at-large, and issues of war and peace strike close to home, considering the potential for a draft (as John McCain, who is only offering a continuation and probably even escalation of the Bush doctrine, has admitted) and that a disproportionate number of those making the current sacrifices are my age.

On many other matters, such as overall foreign policy, civil liberties, tax reform, Social Security reform, and monetary policy, Ron Paul is also the only candidate offering bold changes in policy instead of tweaks to the status quo.

Given all of the above, I believe it is only fair and in the interest of democracy, especially as it concerns young voters, that you invite Ron Paul to your special. Thank you.

This is such crap, Rudy Giuliani gets coverage but Ron Paul doesn't? When Giuliani has consistently placed lower than Ron Paul. Man I just don't get it.

Mainstream media dominated by 5 multinational corporations, all of which are part of the military-industrial complex (for example, GE).

Ron Paul is the only anti-war candidate left.

If this event occurs without Ron Paul, we should infiltrate it - get as many people tickets to it as possible, and then have multiple waves of peaceful disruption (ie, chanting 'Ron Paul') as possible until they've kicked every last one of us out.
