He is currently listed on the "Leadership and Staff" page of Gary Johnson's campaign and political party staff. There is a very much known professional closeness between the two men as Gary Johnson's main adviser.

And for the record, I think Doug Wead is a good dude. All I'm saying is judge the man by his record not his friends.

I don't know why anyone thought this was a possibility. Including Ron Paul.

Ron messed up last May when he decided to "go for delegates" instead of running third party or endorsing someone who is honest and actually holds his views. For months I've been saying this and tried to convince you all that this delegate strategy is pointless and the GOP will want nothing to do with Paul in the convention.

Now that this has actually happened, will you guys please come support Gary Johnson? He is 98% in agreement with Ron Paul, and will actually be on the ballot this November.

No!!! NO, no no! Don't you get it? The rules have never mattered. They don't matter. Ron was never going to be nominated, get a speech, or anything.

Ron was a fool for thinking he could work within party rules to get his message across. Romney loves Bernanke, loves war, cares nothing about civil liberties. There was never any reason to think that we could somehow "convince" the GOP to adopt libertarian views. Romney is far more of a neocon than Bush ever was, yet Bush even ran as a much more libertarian candidate in 2000.

This is going to be a disaster because Ron Paul didn't do anything with his momentum. He didn't want to stir up controversy. He did not attack Romney enough. He has yet to denounce him. He thought somehow the GOP was going to like him and give him some props because he won some delegates. But the delegate rules don't matter. They never mattered. Winner takes all and defines all terms.

I think Tom Woods was right...Ron and C4L were influenced by some people who tried to make them more "mainstream". I almost regret ever giving money to Ron Paul...it would have better spent on Gary Johnson, who is doing WHATEVER IT TAKES to get on the ballot this November, without regard for party.

Well, the first question is did you even donate? I maxed out at the very beginning of the campaign and watched my 2 grand go to attacking every candidate BUT Romney.

Not saying my money would have been better spent with Johnson, but that fact is pretty infuriating. Particularly considering this is the second time Jesse Benton's campaign has fooled me.

Fool me once, fool me twice, etc....
