A post on a sympathetic blog show that half of Dr. Paul's supporters had not even heard of him until this year!

We need to get the word out to everyone else!

My comment on this site:

I would have sworn that until recently (Since May 1st, 2007) I had not heard of Ron Paul.

Until I did some youtube searches on him.
It was then that I realized I had watched a video of him from 2003…in 2003.

It was called Neo-Conned, and it was a very long debate on the floor of Congress about how our foreign policy is a significant problem and a (not THE) cause of terrorism vs. the US. At the time, I can remember thinking “wow…nobody ever looked at it that way”, and I passed that video onto many of my friends.

Recently I was turned onto Dr. Paul via some youtube link, (honestly can’t recall which one it is, since I’ve probably watched about 100 since the first of May) and I found him to be very compelling. Only later after I discovered his Neo-Conned video, did I realize I was again grasped by his honesty and straightforward approach to politics.

That sealed the deal for me. I believed him back in 2003, and in 2007 (older and wiser myself) I support him even more.

If YOU don’t know much about Dr. Paul, just do a youtube search and be prepared to not do much else for a couple of days.

I had not heard of Ron Paul until this year, except to see him in the Aaron Russo's film "America: Freedom to Facism".

At the time I thought, "wow, a real Congressman willing to say that the income tax is illegal and the Federal Reserve has conned us out of our money, etc." (paraphrasing). Then I kind of forgot about it for a while, until he announced his candidacy for President. And I said to myself, "WOW! That's the guy! That's they guy who tells the truth." I've been an avid follower ever since.

I heard about Paul back when he ran in 88. My Mom tried to get me to vote for him, but I thought the first GW was the man. I guess there is something to the saying that Mother does know best.

:) Yeah, I know. My mother turned me onto him more than 20 years ago.

I had never heard of him until a about a month or 6 weeks ago, maybe 2 months ago on another forum.

I only heard of him a month ago, and as soon as I saw what he stood for I knew I was going to totally support him throughout his campaign.

Same here. I hadn't heard of him until about 2 days after the 1st GoP debate -- he was preaching about the things I have strongly believed in for a decade (since I was 14), it was beautiful.

I hope more people can un-educate themselves thinking the state as a god, that government can do everything and anything for you.

My first exsposure to Dr Paul was on the Daily Show of all things. He needs as much air time as possible.

I know exactly when I first heard of Ron Paul, I have the chat logs:

Session Start Fri Feb 16 09:07:29 2007
[09:48] me: who do you like in the next election? any of them?
[09:48] aBusinessAssociate: indeed
[09:48] aBusinessAssociate: Ron Paul
[09:48] me: is that the mormon?
[09:49] aBusinessAssociate: i could say no with 99.99999% certainty
[09:49] aBusinessAssociate: Ron Paul is awake to the truth and to seeking it out and has a very solid history of it
[09:49] me: 3rd party?

---cut to the end of the workday, and the end of workday that I wasted by voraciously searching for more and more information on Ron Paul--

[14:04] me: on a happier note, ron paul does sound like the man
[14:05] aBusinessAssociate: he is quite the man

:D 21st Century. Gotta love it.
