Morning Joe Interview TOP NOTCH!

Good interview, but I thought it was a bit condescending to call him by his first name. Does he refer to others as Rudy, Hillary, Mitt, etc to their faces? I doubt it.

Bump

When Dr. Paul gets an opportunity to speak objectively like this, we win.

They were both members of congress. I think congressmen/women refer to eachother by their fist names.

I was thinking the same thing: veiled endorsement from Joe Sr. there! :D

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if Joe is a Ron Paul supporter as well. He probably just can't reveal it publicly because of journalistic integrity or whatever.

I don't think that's a bad thing. They sounded like they were good friends because they referred to each other by their first names. If you talk to a friend, I'm sure you call them by their first name.

Curlz, thanks for that idea and link. Here is my letter to Joe.

Dear Joe,

Thank you for your warm and fair interview with Ron Paul today. As I am sure you know, Dr. Paul gets treated in mainstream media with the least respect. A lot of us believe he should be treated with the most.

How entirely refreshing to tune into an interview whereby Ron was both asked and allowed to articulate his thoughts and beliefs without interruption, dismissal, or belittlement. It is to the point whereby your welcoming him with sincere warmth was palpably jarring, which says a lot about you.

And finally, a broadcaster has the integrity to suitably talk about how impressive Dr. Paul's fund raising record is, and point out that it is regular people doing it - not paid members of a campaign. This really is a movement that the rest of the candidates must envy beyond all else. It demands notice and respect. My hat is off to you.

Ron Paul is a hallmark of intelligence, courage, and integrity. In this election, his honesty, his record, his firm and accurate knowledge of our past and present, and his convictions about real solutions for our future are virtually peerless. To be covered at least as much and as fairly as the rest of the candidates is all we ask.

My only issue with the interview was that nagging question of whether he will run as an independent. While possibly suitable for past candidates, this man truly belongs on the republican ticket. I would question the other candidates about their republican status before Ron Paul.

Regardless, a congratulations to you and your responsible journalism, along with your panel. You have won a new viewer today. And I can only hope the rest of your big media colleagues follow suit.

Please say a warm "Go, Ron Paul" to your son.
