More shenanigans in MN Republican conventions (+VIDEO ADDED)

MAJOR FLOOR FIGHT in MN-SD49 GOP! Establishment tried to ram through their slate, but we stopped them by a hair. Lots of yelling, thought there was going to be a riot. It's a major establishment stronghold, and let's just say, they are NOT happy that we are here. Too bad for them. The convention started at 9am, it's 19:45 and still ongoing.....details to follow in a day or two.

EDIT:

Here is the breaking video and write-up of the event: http://usnewspress.com/2012/03/27/4843/

More shenanigans in Minnesota? What were the original shenanigans? I missed that one. I've been under the proverbial rock as to Minnesota. Care share a link?

are we talking late-night in MN? hell, those other folks will go home.

update?

Sounds like this convention adjourned around 10pm. That's a 13 hour session! Yikes. Still no word on what the results were. This was in a rich Mpls suburb (Edina & West Bloomington) that the establishment has controlled for sometime. Word is they tried to pass a "recommended" slate without opening it up for nominations from the floor and all hell broke loose.

In my convention today (other side of town) the only shenanigan was that the establishment tried to pass a rule mandating that all ballots must be completed for the full allotment of delegates. We were able to defeat this overwhelmingly and it was funny seeing the woman get so flustered that someone dared question her rules.

Was this the Hennepin County Convention? My mother was there, and I hadn't heard from her all day, and this may be why. I'll have to get the details from her tomorrow.

For once I'd like to see a headline read "less shenanigans" or better yet "no"
There was one of those on the forum, I think it was last week. So they do happen, but seemingly less often.

I really wonder if this season will kill the "there's no good reason to object to secret counts" attitude that was all to common going into this years proceedings.
