No.2
Advocates of flooding the United States with third world populations (who are more likely to submit to oppression) refer to the phenomenon now as "immigration" or the "immigration debate" or other generalization... intentionally leaving out the word "illegal" to shift the discussion to something that sounds more agreeable.
We need to (re)clarify the battle lines.
When talking about individuals entering the U.S., screened under a legal program or as a naturalized citizen, this is immigration. Most people are in favor of immigration, and it is hard to argue against (in light of our dwindling population growth).
When talking about individuals crossing the border into the U.S. without authorization or having gone through the naturalization or visa process, this is illegal immigration. Most people think illegal immigration is wrong, and it is hard to argue for.
When debating or discussing the topic, DO NOT allow both illegal and legal immigration to be used under the umbrella term "immigration." If your opponent is using this tactic, stop them and force them to clarify that he or she is referring to illegal immigration, and that you are not debating legal immigration.
