Please feel free to share this with your groups.

The huge December 16th Tea Party fundraising is less than a week away, and it is the greatest opportunity we have to launch our friend, the good doctor, into top tier front runner status. If it goes as planned, he would have raised more on a single day than any other candidate ever in the history of the world and he would most likely have raised more in the quarter than any other Republican candidate. November 5th was a practice run, and it gave Ron Paul a solid week of Media coverage and new supporters, but then interest quickly dropped off based on Google trends, Media articles, and donations.

We can not let this happen again. The momentum of December 16th needs to be kept up and grow to bring us all the way to the primary, which is exactly 8 weeks away for NY and other Super Tuesday states. The great news is that no other candidate is conducting any serious campaigning in NY until January. This is our opportunity. This is OUR time to shine!

The goal is to have communities throughout NY ( & the country) saying, “Who is this Ron Paul guy, why have I never heard of him, and how come so many of my neighbors so passionately support this guy? I don’t see any other candidate with this much support.”

Some groups such as the NYC Meetup have an excellent concept called the 12 Days of Christmas for Ron Paul. They have planned activities every day leading up to December 16th and beyond to maximize the impact of December 16th. Their events include sign waving rallies, sign/banner planting. major parties and press events, press releases, phone banking, bussing to NH, and letter to Iowa. They are a large group with a 1,000 members, but the concept is just as effective with groups of only 5-10 or more throughout the state.

Below are a list of ideas that have proven to be very successful, but of course do what you believe will be most effective in your local community with the people and resources you have.

Activities Leading up to the December 16th Tea Party Events:

• Sign/banner hanging in time for the December 15/16th Weekend
• Sign waving rallies, phone banking (see below)
• Call, email, IM, Skype, SMS, Blackberry, Beg, Plea, and talk to all your Ron Paul friends, family, neighbors, and email lists to donate on December 16th.
• Prepare press releases for your local press in time to send it out with final tallies on midnight of December 16th.
• Attend major events where the press will be. NYC, Ithaca, and LI are planning events. The biggest press event is at Boston on the 16th where Dr. Rand Paul (Ron’s son) will speak with the Ron Paul Blimp overhead, and the reenactment of the Boston Tea Party. Post all events at http://ny4ronpaul.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=2 so we can all see what’s happening.
• Send Ron Paul Christmas Cards and include the TeaParty07.com website
• Join any activities on www.ronpaulforums.com to contact all 80,000 Ron Paul supporters on MySpace to donate on the 16th.
• Donate on the 16th!

Local Activities Through December/January

Sign Waving Events at Major Intersections, Sporting Events, Concerts, and Public Events

One of the cheapest, most visible, and very effective strategies is sign waving with a large group where there is large traffic. This is very successful in small and medium communities, where people normally do not see such passionate activism. The Buffalo Meetup did a tailgate Ron Paul event at a Bill’s game with over 20-40K in attendance. There are concerts throughout the state. But perhaps the easiest place to hold a sign rally is at a major intersection in your town that leads to shopping centers or highway exits, as long as it is safe to do so with plenty of space.

Some strategies for sign waving:

• Schedule the event when the traffic is strongest and the most amount of group member can attend (invite local surrounding meetups).
• Try not to schedule it for more than 2 hours at a time. Its cold. See below.
• Dress Warmly. Its NY. Its winter. Its cold. Very Cold. Dress like you would if you were going skiing or other snow activities. Wear many layers, boots, gloves, hats, scarves, and have hot chocolate in flasks/thermals. If your group has a rescue Saint Bernard with a cask of spirits around its neck, bring it.
• Bring large banners and lawn signs. Mix up official signs with your banners. Use cheap cardboard or buy large form boards at the dollar store. Write messages like “Google Ron Paul” or “Honk for Ron Paul.”
• Smile, Wave, and Make Eye Contact. Even if its cold, don’t look like a grumpy Romney paid supporter. I smile, wave, and make eye contact with every passenger in every car that passes by. At first, I deluded myself into thinking that the girls smiled and waved back because of my boyish good looks, but I soon realized that everyone was smiling and waving back. Smiling is contagious and it shows that you are passionate for Ron Paul and they will remember that. The good news is that your smile will be frozen in place after 20 minutes (just kidding).
• Be safe and a good citizen. Stay off the shoulder and out of the way of cars. Do not lean signs onto the road or scare cars. Avoid arguments and shouting matches. Remember these are your neighbors. There is no need to take any risks. While news coverage of a Ron Paul supporter falling off of an overpass gets his name out, is it really worth it?

Other activities
Ron Paul Sign/Banner Planting – Everywhere and soon!
Phone Banking – With your list of registered Republicans which you got from your local county board of elections, start calling to find Ron Paul supporters to Get Out the Vote and call back in early February to remind them to vote in the primary. See the training videos at: https://www.ronpaul2008.com/volunteer/. If you need calling scripts, [email protected] has an effective script.
Canvassing/Literature Drop – With your list of registered Republicans, go door to door with SlimJims and other literature.
Christmas Caroling – Leave SlimJims with your captive audience. Bring kids! Remember its cold, see above. Leave behind the St. Bernard unless he can howl along.
Convert Ron Paul signs into Xmas Lighted Signs – cut holes in your sign and insert Christmas Lights to spread liberty at night.

Final thoughts

We are living through an amazing time in our lives. This is the first time my generation has a real opportunity to bring change to this country. The Ron Paul campaign is different from every other campaign. Some call it a movement. Others of us believe its a R3VOLution. But the reality of it is that every single one of us is Ron Paul! It is up to us as individuals to bring back liberty and the Constitution to this great nation of ours.

Some of you may be reading this comfortably behind a computer thinking, great there is a lot of people who will get stuff done. NO! This will only work with YOU involved. I am looking directly at you. Are you going to be at home sitting comfortably on your couch drinking hot coco with marshmallows in front of your warm fireplace and watch as President Hillary Giuliani brings down this country and removes our civil liberties. Or instead, will you tell your grandchildren that “Yes… Yes, I was there and I FOUGHT to restore freedom for my country, for America! I was Ron Paul!”
