I renewed my CCW a few weeks ago and when I went up there they said I would need a passport, birth certificate and something showing my current residence. My current driver's license and non-driver ID with CCW endorsement weren't sufficient. Of course, it doesn't say that on their website

So, being pissed that I wasted a trip to the DMV I went back and got my passport and a utility bill. I came back and was given a piece of paper that was to be my temporary non-driver ID. In the past they always provided it onsite after about 5-10 minutes. I didn't receive my permanent ID until 3 weeks later.

And then I saw this

So, DHS is installing their gear in the DMV's, scanning your pertinent documents which is sent back to a federal databse, and issuing you an ID with RFID in it. Missouri specifically enacted statutes to prevent the state from complying with REAL ID and the MO DOR is currently breaking the law. Liberty-minded legislators are aware and taking action.

Brent Stafford called the MO AG's office and the assistant said if someone sued the DOR over this the AG would defend them
