Not sure if this has been posted before. The only players I saw that gave donations to RP were Travis Hafner, Casey Fossum, Todd Wellemeyer and Tim Melville.

hey that's pretty cool man. Travis Hafner was a great hitter back in the day, one of the best in the league at one point before his career became plagued by injuries. I did a little googling and also found out Shelley Duncan of the Cleveland Indians is a supporter and found this picture on his twitter account. Travis is on the far left.

His ideas are bold and authentic and he is a wonderful person. It was a pleasure meeting him and talking with him. pic.twitter.com/UT3kfFWY

Not MLB, but didn't Tebow like Ron and some others? I was remembering some names around Iowa/Nevada.... I thought Perry had some bus kinda doing homage to Tebow then Ron was called by Tebow...

Here:

Ron Paul discussed a conversation he had with Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow while discussing homeschooling at a campaign event Monday night.
At a town hall discussion at the Civic Auditorium of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Paul spoke on his pro-homeschooling views, saying arguments that homeschooled children receive inadequate education have been disproven.
He then mentioned his conversation with Tebow, in reference to an argument that homeschooled kids don't get the chance to participate in sports.
"You know I was talking to a football player the other day and I think he's rather famous now," he said. "I think it’s Tim Tebow, something like that, and of course, of course most people know he was homeschooled and he's doing pretty well for himself."
The Paul campaign told Fox News Tebow's manager, who is a Paul supporter, arranged a friendly phone call between the Republican candidate and the NFL star.

Peyton Hillis, or really Tony Pashos

If the next picture you see of Browns running back Peyton Hillis is of him wearing "Ron Paul for President" paraphernalia, we can explain.

During Thursday's interview session, Hillis decided to comply with teammate Tony Pashos request (after persistent begging) that he advertise for Pashos' favorite presidential candidate. Pashos has had bumper stickers for Paul, the candidate vying for the Republican nomination, taped to his locker all season.

Hillis donned a Browns baseball cap with a Ron Paul bumper sticker plastered across it during TV and newspaper interviews, donned a "Ron Paul 2012 button" and added another Ron Paul sticker to his T-shirt for good measure.

Pashos joined the media scrum and asked the final question of the interview session.

"Who do you support for president?" Pashos shouted.

"Ron Paul," Hillis said, simply. "He represents the constitution and what it needs to be."

Hillis was more engaging and upbeat Thursday than he's been all season, a trying one for him in which he has missed five games with a hamstring injury and been in contentious contract renegotiations with the Browns.

At the start of the interview, a TV cameraman looked to clip a microphone on Hillis' shirt.

"Can we pin this on you?" he asked.

"Why not?" Hillis responded. "You guys have pinned everything else on me this year."

Zing!

yeah, Ron gets a lot of love from Cleveland sport teams, more so than any other city for some reason. Peyton and Tony showing their support:

Hafner is off to a pretty good start this year, hit in 7 straight games, homerun today with 4 RBI's.

Tony Pashos is the freakin' man. I'm sad he's not on the Browns anymore but I'll definitely root for him on the Redskins.

I will never root for Hafner as a baseball player now that he plays for the Yankees. Well, I will but in the same way I rooted for Welker on the Patriots. I hope he hits .400 and his team loses every single fucking game they play.
