If Ron Paul isn't one of the most confusing people sometimes, I don't know who is.

He's running for Republican presidential nomination.
Hasn't completely ruled out a third party run.
He's running for reelection to his congressional seat.
He's making speeches, saying he doesn't know what the future holds.
He's putting out a book, that apparently was pre-written.
He's asking everyone to sign up as delegates.
He's brining on cabinet staff.
Today he finally took off the gloves a bit and called McCain for what he is.
And, he reminds us to keep the message alive even after the race.

So I sit here and wonder is this a man who is doing everything in his power to win, working all angles instead of a systematic approach? Is he purposely giving mixed messages? Maybe thats the plan. Maybe it's disinformation to keep the opposition thinking he is all over the board. Or maybe he knows something we don't.

Does anyone else feel this way? If you do what do you think it is?

There are no mixed messages in anything he's doing or saying.

He has always had one clear message.

It never changes.

The country will ignore it at their own peril.

Congressional thing is a integrity thing, if he does not win the general election. He wants to be president for promoting his message of peace, not for the power. He has enough integrity to step down if he doesn't win and keep spreading his message in congress.

The book is to fund his campaghn I hope?

Delegates he needs for the nomination DUH.

Attacking McCain, slowy but steady I have a feeling we are in like phase 4 of 10 stages I think the Campaign has another set of attack ads coming out in mid summer, why waste money now when most are unbound in september.

The movement is bigger than he is and Dr. Paul knows this, he wouldn't mind any other canidate for president if he had the same virtues.

Think about it.

I get mixed messages. Not so much with his stances, but with the direction the campaign is going. The adding of advisers at this stage perplexes me. The adding of the precinct leader program so late also is questionable, although that may be poor planning.

It seems like the campaign is behind schedule. I think the main reason is he didn't go into the race with a belief he could win. December was a good month for both MSM, financial, and grassroots support. Looking back I think the campaign should have been a little more aggressive at that point.

Edit: And my theory on the book....he'll mail a free copy to all the national convention delegates.

:D

Damn good points. Gracias.:D

Hes giving mixed messages because we keep on giving mixed messages.

Don't you see? He's waiting on us.

I guarantee you if we put together a independent run money bomb and raise millions he will answer the call.

If you continue to promote RonPaulforcongress he will return to congress.

Now let the market decide.

I agree on one thing: he really took the gloves off and let McCain have it. I've been waiting for him to attack McCain on McCain-Kennedy and McCain-Feingold for ages now, and he's finally done it! And then he finally signed the NumbersUSA NO AMNESTY pledge on Monday, one day before the election. I don't know why he waited so long; NumbersUSA has around 500,000 members, and it can only help Paul's cause. But better late than never. He certainly doesn't seem to be throwing in the towel. I'd love to get revved up for an independent run, though.

We're lacking in the fund raising dept. I sent a check to Paul's congressional campaign today. We need to hit his number there and then get to raising $ for his Presidential run (whichever way it goes)....of course the best way to do that is to do well in the next couple states....at least top 3 ;)

Personally, I think this is his master plan that he has had for a while now. Face it, he's getting old...if he doesn't speak out soon and get this movement started, it may never happen...and this is what he has been fighting for for over 30 years!

He's trying to win the presidency, but its the message, not the man. Whether he wins or not, he must motivate us to carry on his fight if he fails.

He knows he may not win, so he stresses the message over the man and writes a political manifesto at a time where is name is practically worshiped by his followers, thus ensuring a best-selling book. Many outlets and TV shows push these types of best-sellers, thus guaranteeing that he will get a boost to a crowd that has not yet heard of him.

His congressional seat is a contingency plan -- if he fails the presidential bid he needs to still hold a base of operations to have his voice heard.

He claims he don't know what the future holds as a challenge -- to us. He doesn't know if we will carry out his revolution or sit down and settle for the socialism that every other candidate offers us.

The delegates is self-explanatory. We need as many as we can get.

Cabinet staff I can't explain however...seems like a very bold move to me, which inspires me, but still leaves me a little dumbfounded.

either he is overwhelmed or he is diabolical...

I'm betting on diabolical. Have you read A Foreign Policy of Freedom? It is prophetic at times. The man knows what he's doing. This is the culmination of his entire political career and by God if he hasn't had 30 years to plan it.

Reading it now...it is amazing, by Biblical standards he could be a prophet lol. Everything he said would happen has happened...and continues to.

not to mention he's been opening offices all over the place... he just opened an office in Washington last week.

From a guy who was with this since day one...I feel the need to inform you....he had no plan to run, he was basically "drafted" by those who seek liberty, freedom, and the true United States. One of the main reasons he was asked to run was his opposition to the federal reserve, and any global influence over the United States. When a few well known people with a bit of influence researched every possible candidate, they realized Ron Pauls record in congress stood alone....

One man who helped start it...one of them, and the man who is responsible for me joining this "revolution" is Arron Russo....a true patriot. Anyone and every one who was registered on the freedom to fascism site got an email the day Arron Russo decided Ron Paul was the guy.

After I got that email, I started checking Ron Paul out....his congressional site at the time was ONLY for congress, but it basically had the constitution itself as what to look at to see how he votes on issues....it has been changed since then, and now looks more like his presidential page with the money graphic etc, but it amazed me at the time...."how do I vote on issues", and he basically offered a United States Constitution for you to look at......he had my vote that day.

Ron Paul wasn't going to run, he was sought out by those who love liberty and freedom, and he formed an exploratory commission, that went OK but not great because name recognition sucked worse than it does now, but I can not stress how glad I am that he decided to run....he has hopefully started something that will continue centuries after he has passed on....what WE are doing could be the start...freedom can not die....this country is NOT what it was....now it is just idiots talking about freedom and liberty and waving a flag that doesn't even represent us....we are nowhere even near being free anymore. The federal government, banks, and corporations have all but won, or have they?

Don't be stupid. He and his campaign has said more than once that they are going clear to the convention if his supporters continue to fund the campaign.

Adding of advisors should happen everyday until the National Convention. Nothing should surprise you there. As the campaign gets stronger (and others get weaker) more people of influence are attracted to it. This is the way things are.

The Precinct Leader program has been up and running since the beginning of the year. If you are involved with it, you know that. If you arent, why not? Get involved here - https://voters.ronpaul2008.com/grassroots/

The results in precincts represented by strong precinct leaders show that when we are out there communicating the message Ron Paul scores highly in the vote tallies. Be one of those strong leaders and get it done. You can never have too many people with passion.

Understand that this campaign is not sanctioned by the political machines that make it happen for what is the mainstream. If you want it to happen then you need to build it from the ground up where you live.

It is not as hard as it sounds, but it does take work. Everything worthwhile does.
