Mitt Romney Mitt Romney: Minimum Wage Should Rise With Inflation

I understand the premise of minimum wage. I even respect people who want it for the views supported by that premise. But it doesn't quite hold up to a deeper logical inquiry. Romney knows better.

Wow, really? This is crazy... That means that in 5 years, the minimum wage could be $100 an hour!

We should NOT say anything about minimum wage, it could do more harm than help since people are in tough times. Focus on the issues already.

Minimum wage laws are far more harmful than they are beneficial. Not only that, but it's just another damn mandate. No surprise Romney is for it.

That would kill the whole purpose of inflation. Mitt will retract this after his banker friends talk to him. You just watch.

He probably said it to do damage control for the "When Willard came to town" documentary- panicking.

It certainly would not help create jobs. More people will just get laid off at higher wage increases demanded on employers.

It may bite him in the ass. It's a trip watching these guys panick and start to self destruct.

Do you people actually believe anything Mitt Romney says? Are you kidding me? This guy is the biggest fraud to ever show up in politics.

Stop drinking the kool-aide guys. Romney is a crook and a liar.

That statement also implies that he plans on inflating some more. We all knew that anyway, but Ron can point that out when talking about sound money.

This is something where we can exert our expertise of economics over Romney... Increasing minimum wage will destroy jobs and hurt the poor.

Reminds me of the movie Idiocracy. The minimum wage will continue to rise, and the cost of living will continue to rise due to the inflation. This proves that Mitt has no intentions of resolving the inflation problem.

This is something Paul could easily refute and show how Romney's proposal would damage the economy & make us less competitive globally. To add to the list, Romney's proposal to put tariffs on China, even while China is strengthening as we ask, shows how out of touch Romney is with the actual situation and solutions. In a one on one debate with Romney, Paul could use these points to make Romney look very business-ignorant.

God this will create so many problems....if you can't provide x dollars an hour of work you are out of a job. Basic Econ
