Mitt Romney is showing his weakness re Obama's amnesty issue

You're right. Tea Party types are not happy with Romney's statements on amnesty and the Dream Act. People are starting to see through Marco Rubio as well.

LOL........ But how do you take the Tea Partys blinders off long enough for them to actually take a good close look at Romney.

Why are there even "Romney" threads on the RPF? Any real Ron Paul supporter knows that Flip Romney is an establishment shill whore, and shouldn't be surprised in any context t hat Romney would be less than... what's the word... honorable? Respectable? Decent?

"F" Romney. He doesn't deserve our recognition or our time or our energy. He is a drop in the bucket of poison we need to dump out.

Because Romney's weakness stands in stark contrast to Ron Pau's strength. The Tea Party people are NOT stupid and a month before Romney was pronounced the nominee, they were bashing him for being a cheap flip-flopper.

We will have a presence in Tampa, both before and after the convention. This is what Ron was telling us in his video. The economy is bound to get worse, and Romney is bound to look worse.

Remember the debate where Romney directed a question to "our Constitutional expert," Ron Paul? This is a perfect example of the dangers of disobeying the Constitution(as Obama has done); ROMNEY IS STUPID to not even point that out.

If I were Mitt, I would have attacked Obama's use of an executive order to pull this stunt. He could have done that without actually giving a comment on pro-/anti- illegal immigration, and still managed to have made some respectable comments regarding the abuse of executive orders. Of course, Romney blew that opportunity because he doesn't respect the constitutional process for making laws, either.

Obama is quickly becoming one of the worst presidents to legislate via executive orders because he thinks that 'Congress moves too slow' (it's supposed to, Mr. President, and I'd be happy if it stopped moving). I'd put him up there with FDR in terms of broad-reaching executive orders.

I think those who go to Tampa would do well to mention at all times the GOP/media bias against Ron Paul, respectfully.

When one sees the obvious, Ron Paul is a no-brainer, IMO. A Ron Paul nomination is not likely, but Mitt Romney himself is helping our cause with his lameness. If the GOP REALLY WANTS TO WIN, they will nominate a strong Constitutionalist--RON PAUL.

Another point: Nominating Ron Paul would certainly turn the Obama campaign on its ear, wouldn't it?

Oh goodie, another thread pandering to anti-free market and anti-libertarian closed border folks like the neocon wing of the TEA Party (most of it now).

As the border hawks grow, libertarianism and free markets die just a little more. (Sigh)

Whether someone is for or against open-borders, I hope we all could see the alarming trend this president has of using 'executive orders' to accomplish things that should be handled by the Congress. I think that's what a lot of people are missing here; it's the means to the ends that I disagree with strongly, and both Obama and Romney missed the bigger picture on this one.

I wish I could just find the clip of FDR's speech, but could only find this one.

Obama doesn't even "ask the congress" though, he just takes power when he feels like Congress isn't moving fast enough (translation: isn't giving Obama what he wants).

Yes, the issue IS the disdain for the Constitution. Ron Paul has said in the past that illegal immigrants havebecome the scapegoats for our bad economy. I'm sure his teachings on the matter are just as enlightened and informed as they are on every other issue.

It's the Constitution, stupid. At one time it mattered to Tea Party people.
