He basically didn't differentiate himself from Obama, didn't criticize him. I'm thinking thus will further alienate him from Tea Party types. Ron Paul might win more delegates in Tampa over this possibly.

Romney is weak. Very weak. Ron has courage of his convictions.

That is a possibility. The more Romney shows his flaws before Tampa, the better.

edit: He could always go pro-choice again or something...who knows.

You're right. Tea Party types are not happy with Romney's statements on amnesty and the Dream Act. People are starting to see through Marco Rubio as well.

He has to make it through two more months, flipping and flopping as he goes, like a dying fish. He will certainly remind people why they didn't like him during the primaries. Too bad, Mittster.

Romney statement for everything is will get back to you later if we oppose it. Rubio stood up and said he supports Obama on legalizing 800,000 non citizens. Romney is stuck between a rock and don't know what to do. This is not looking good for Romney. If he accepts what Obama did then its over for him. Especially if he takes Rubio as V.P. That is a guarantee loss. That means Romney accepts what Obama did. Romney I am guessing won't say anything about it. The reason is if he wins (highly doubtful) he would love the same power that obama has and give as many executive orders. Presidents now are dictators.

He did criticise him , but only to say it was a political move. Well......duh.

And yeah, he is weak, tepid, spineless, has no compass. The etch a sketch man.

What really makes Romney look bad is that he took such a hard line on immigration during the primaries. He and his surrogates went after Perry and Gingrich in a big way for being too soft on illegal immigration.

What really makes Romney look bad is he is a serial liar and panderer. Mitt Romney makes Mitt Romney look bad. There is just no warming up to this guy, after watching him talk I feel like I need shower.

Yeah, well....Hispanic votes, ya know. Willard's middle name is EXPEDIENCE. Bleh.

Doesn't matter. They dislike Obama enough that they won't turn on Romney for this. You'll see that the blame will be shifted on Obama, and very, very little will head Romney's way for being 'weak'.

Due to this, and many other statements as well as what I have been hearing from Romney's camp, I do not think that Rubio will be Romney's VP choice, which is interesting (and unfortunate for the Republican party, since a strong Hispanic VP would make it much easier for Romney to win).

They're not even trying to pretend to be authentic humans with independent opinions any more.
Even the act with the re-emergence of Candidate Obama is totally half-assed this time around.

Romney is a spineless piece of shit.

I sense a theme developing here.

Please. Republican/Tea Party voters can actually talk about real issues, about as well as a brick. If this is going to hurt Romney for not speaking up, then John "Amnesty" McCain would never have gotten the nomination in 2008.

This won't do anything, and zombie Republicans will turn out to vote like they always have...for fear of the "boogie man" that is the Democratic candidate, just as the zombie Democrats will turn out to vote like they always have, for fear of the "boogie man" that is the Republican candidate.

the issue should be extra constitutional presidential powers used aka illegal powers not vested in the executive branch.it wasnt amnesty either...its deferment which is a postponement for people who mostly kids raised here without even knowing or having a choice into their situation. With that said i believe it is uncivil to round them up ,but we should end social welfare. Its unfortunate that some people are brought here and raised since childhood without even knowing the difference of being non citizens.its a pretty messed up situation that will take decades to reverse in a civil manner.obama should be impeached for this and libya and syria and pakistan etc.. etc.. etc..
