Mitt Romney: I'm working to harder than anyone to make sure Ron Paul...

He must not know a lot of people, because he's really not. Heck, he even said he'd vote for Ron Paul if Paul was the nominee, unlike certain candidates who have coincidentally been subject to recent precipitous drops in the polls.

The more I think about the quote, the less it irritates me.

If Romney is trying to win the "hardest", that would also imply that he didn't want Ron to win. Basically, he is in a competition with Ron Paul, and wants to win the most.

Yeah, I suppose that's more respectful than someone like Bachmann laughing hysterically every time someone implies that Ron Paul might do better than her.

ugh @ the comments.

So sick of people saying they are afraid of Paul's foreign policy. The aristocrats sure have their proletariat's fooled into giving them our money don't they?

I'm glad you got to the bottom of that.

Mitt has also been careful (from the quotes I have read) to say Ron Paul is outside of the "mainstream GOP", NOT Americans, like some other candidates. Hard to disagree with that, and it is a positive, not a negative. Contrast that with what Bachmann and Gingrich are saying, like Gingrich saying Ron Paul is "totally outside the mainstream of every decent American." Nice to know where I stand with Newt. I am not a "decent American." Romney seems to be much more careful in what he is saying, and is probably taking Ron Paul the most seriously.

What they mean is that they are afraid of any candidate who doesn't want to invade every Muslim nation on Earth as if that's such a super duper reasonable thing to do.

"I don't like Ron Paul because I want American troops to conquer the world even if it bankrupts the nation and puts us permanently under the financial ownership of Communist China because at least I'll finally be able to sleep at night and not have to worry about those evil Muslims coming to get me." :p

We're winning this folks and they (power brokers) know it! You don't take this much heat unless you're the big dog. NICE.

Romney believes he will win the nomination and is sufficiently impressed with Paul's support that he doesn't want to alienate it in the general election. I think Romney is more disciplined and smarter than any of the bottom tier candidates, and likely has a better grip on reality as well. Too bad he has no convictions.

*first post* you know its OBVIOUS that they want Romney to win ("they" being the elitist A-holes such as the Drug Companies and Right-Wing dirtbags) right? The media is going after everybody but him...... and I mean hell Bush Sr. endorses him for president... what more proof can you need. make no mistake, we need to focus about 85% of our efforts against Romney.
