Missouri Caucus Results [MOD: MULTIPLE County victory details; MUST READ for all]

This is awesome news. I hope this turns out good! Good job everyone. I wish there was support like this everywhere.

It seems that if Ron Paul people win the chairmanship you basically can own the whole process, am I wrong?

Go Missouri! Great job, guys. Now for the rest of the states' county conventions...

How's that?

Quite simple; if we use a position of power; even one as small as the chairmanship of a local republican committee or as large as the state chairman to enforce our beliefs on people; are we not then exactly like the ones we seek to overthrow?

Let me make myself more clear so there is no misunderstanding; if power is abused by you or me or anyone of us in this grassroots campaign how does that differentiate us from those we are seeking to get out of office. It doesnt we will become exactly like them.

We are using it, not abusing it. Abusing it would be to throw away votes of someone else, using it would be to use the authority to advance the cause by advocating our ideas.

But there is a fine line there. What you may see as within the confines I may see as abuse....one day we will become the "Old Gaurd" if we arent careful. That is my fear of people seeking to use a chairmanship or other place of power to "Do what they want"

It is those whom "Do what they want" that have landed us here as we are now. I fear that phrase more than any other; because it implies exactly what we are facing.

Nice.
We got around half of the 55 delegates in Boone County.

I don't have the exact number but we did get about half for Boone County. First of all, they kept the doors open an extra half hour when they should have closed them at 10:00 am sharp. And while the RP people were checking in, one of the guys doing the checking in was bad mouthing us under his breath, saying how he doubts we are Republican and so on.

We did have a good showing here. A indicator of that was when we voted for a RP man for the Rules committee. He was voted in favor of with 43-41. And with numbers like that you can guess what happened the rest of the morning. Just about every voice vote was too close to call so we had to do a head count.

We did get some of our amendments approved to include all of our immigration amendments. We had some really good RP speakers who made their voice heard.

They called for a lunch and after that a number of people decided to leave including a few RP people. But the debate continued. We tried real hard to make a change in which they delegates are handed out by proportion and also any delegate that goes to National could not vote for anyone running for President who voted for amnesty. This issue had the most debate and went on for awhile, but eventually lost on this. And get this, out of all the people there I only knew of 2 people who voted for McCain, most voted for Huck or Mitt, yet they refused to consider Ron Paul. Some even likes what RP has to say, but just cant find it in themselve to vote for him. Damn sheep!

Overall, I was very pleased, we definately ruffled some feathers and made our voice heard.

Onward to victory!!!

lol Forgot to mention this. One of the strategies we came up with last night, much to late to implement, is since they knew we were coming we would have one of our Ron Paul supporters go to the caucus and have a Ron Paul slate, but it just be one guy, sitting all alone. Then you have the "Conservative Values" slate where everyone is signing up! That would leave the GOP scratching their heads!!

Thats a damn awesome idea! The sheep that show up will just know to stay away from anything "Ron Paul". Wow! The more I think of that the more sense it makes.

You guys are giving me a little hope, thanks!

I'm in Fl and all we could do was go to the polling station and push a button on the machine. I honestly still have a hard time that my in my county with RP signs E V E R Y W H E R E we only recieved 3%. Almost every county in FL was 3-4%. This honestly sapped much of my energy and enthusiasm.

It has been returning though. I still strongly believe in the cause, our movement, and our leader. I have no doubt that the media machine won the day and we won't be overthrowing Mccain by normal methods, but with all the mccain scandal (and the fact all the legislation he gets passed reads like socialist 'democratic' crap) coupled with the good work you guys are doing in the late primary states, I can at least hold out a shred of hope.

We swept Phelps county too - we got all 17 delegates to both the state and district (8) convention. We had some alternates, but not many.
