So are we going to win Missouri or what?
So are we going to win Missouri or what?
The chairman is the guy that came up and said they were withdrawing their slate because it was clear we had majority and he wanted to work with us. Knowing that he said the above and that he would've tried to railroad us had they got the chair, I could've shut them out and felt fine about it. However, this is politics and I would like to make some inroads with people before I start making enemies.
I'm sure someone else woud've done it different but our group of supporters there seemed to approve of it.
Chairman was decent about it. so make friends, but watch his ass he knew he had lost, that's all. He/They, the 10, will surely team against you at state.
No candidate names were ever mentioned at our caucus. We all dressed like normal people. One notable thing we did, which I think was important, was to elect a new chairman. He didn't want to take the position away from the existing chairman (and old woman who's been running the caucuses for at least 20 years) but someone nominated him and he was voted in. We also chose a Ron Paul person as secretary.
We nominated the outgoing chairman as a delegate and gave her a few votes to make her feel better about being tossed out after 20+ years.
I hope to see reports of many more counties' results in this thread. When I hear from the folks in the adjacent counties I'll post their results here.
Note: Deb Wells (State Coordinator) did an excellent job.
Poor chick. Was she upset?
I'm sure she'd be amused to learn that she had been referred to as a "chick" since she probably has some great-great-great-grandkids by now! I mean, this lady is so ancient, that I felt like a youngster in her presence (I'll be 55 in two months).
She didn't seem upset, in fact she seemed to be pleased that there were so many people so interested in Republican politics all of a sudden! She urged us all to start showing up at other meetings and was curious why we had not done so in the past.
One of the nicest things she did was ask the clerks to print up new voter registration cards on the fly for those of us who had lost or forgotten to bring them along. There were at least five of us in that group, including me! And we would not have been allowed to vote or be elected as delegates without showing those cards. She even delayed the start of the meeting until we all got our new cards. How's that for sweet!!

Yeah, see, this was county- they know who you are now! I will be looking forward to your stated numbers for the Ron Paul Delegates that sent on to State from your 5:1 numbers.
The GOP does NOT CARE what you do at the county level. they have targeted you and your 5:1 for elimination at State.
Look, they will have private investigators sitting in parking lots taking pictures or videos of everyone in their cars. You get up, and run your mouth as a RP Delegate, and now they know a RP face, they tie your face to the car you got out of, now they know your name.
I will bet, you will come back here after State (if you have the guts to do so) and say, "Wow, the McPain people somehow got rid of almost all of our Delegates! How did this happen?"
They are using the counties to identify you as Ron Paul Delegates, so you can be targeted and removed at state,
What part of this is hard to understand?![]()
Maybe you can bring her a cake or something at the next meeting to honor her service.

Maybe propose a Resolution honoring 20 years of service at the State Convention.
Very well done Missouri!!!
