This promoted for... it seems like about a year. Definitely since last year. I've seen it on 4chan's /pol/, a CT Glenn Beck meetup email list, and it was mentioned at a VA Tea Party group meeting. It didn't get much support in any of those places. It seems like the people promoting it want to micromanage the "how" but are pretty short details when it comes to the "why". I never thought it would amount to anything.

I would be surprised if there is a significant crowd..
There is still a significant Patriot community around but they tend to be both cautious and knowledgeable (constitutionalists).

I think this is a play on the latter. A lot of wind,,very little substance.
I will watch and see,, but I have found nothing yet that is at all inspiring.. to me at least.

What I find strange and very confusing is that on this site, so often I hear people complain because "no one takes action". People ask, "when are people going to get pissed enough to do something?". But when I see attempts at people doing something, such as this...... such as the bikers and truckers going to DC, etc... the response I see here is very confusing.
I do not see enthusiasm but simply a lot of apathy. I really do not understand.

In the video pcomscar posted earlier, they say they had a rally in March 2007 where they went to "protect the monuments" like the Vietnam War Monument from "an invasion of commie socialist peace mongers" who were having a peace rally that day. "People who wanted to ruin the country like the Vietnam demonstrators did". He claimed his units had the commies outnumbered "by a large multiple". Reports of the event say he had maybe a couple of hundred while about 10,000 - 30,000 anti-war demonstrators were there (lowest number bottom range of police estimates- top number highest figure from the rally sponsors). He does seem to inflate things and be pro- US military intervention.

Yeah, I wouldn't march with these HOO-RAH, AMERRKUH, PRO-WAR "patriots" if that video is anything to go by. This guy keeps spouting rhetoric straight out of the McCarthy years and believes peace protesters are a problem. After doing a bit of research, it seems he and some of the people organizing this are all about the military and will not stand for people besmirching the name of all those good soldiers who keep America safe. Barf.

And just what about this is "taking action"? What action? What purpose?

Ok,, lets say after getting violently assaulted for a while,, the crowd remains and they get their wish (I doubt it) and Obama Holder and Boehner and Biden all step down.
Who replaces them? And then what?

Back to business as usual.

Yup,, They are a bunch of angry,,yet mostly ignorant folks,, hard right wing.(as in anti-left wing).
