Glad to see there is some antiwar resistance left out there.
ROFL, yeah right.
You got a better chance of seeing God.
Sent it to Drudge, chances are slim, though.

2 of us were holding a ron paul banner in front of that building. 10 minutes later the cops told us we had to have a permit and made us go to the free speech area hidden from view.

Did the cops even take a minute to savor the irony, being run off from the front of a building that has the 1st Amendment plastered all over the front for exercising your free speech rights?
The folks who put this banner up are most likely a bunch of hypocrites who screwed up and voted for the warmongerers McCain and Obama back in 2008
You're right! So we should throw them under the bus, and back over them several times for being fooled by a politician. We're all soooo smart that it's never happened to us.
Are you ever going to be fooled by a corrupt politician? In this case the folks weren't even fooled, McCain and Obama made it very clear on the campaign trail they were going to escalate the wars these folks are speaking out against.
Am I ever going to be fooled by a corrupt politician? Maybe...there are plenty of candidates that we're supporting here who have no record.
But, I guess you'd condemn all of the former neocons/liberals we have here now as well. Do you realize that many vets were around 18 or so, completely naive about what was going on....just as almost ALL of us were?
If you've never made a mistake, or been fooled by anyone on anything, you have my full apology. Otherwise, you might want to consider the fact that some of these folks could be fantastic allies--not as perfect as yourself though, of course.

2008 was the 1st year I voted, the year I first started getting involved in politics so my hands are clean and I am not that dumb to go vote for corrupt politicians.
I speak out against folks who haven't learned their lesson and I support those who have. In this case there is no guarantee that the folks hanging this banner will not screw up again and vote again for another warmongerer in November or November 2012. Folks who vote for warmongerers or corrupt politicians aren't allies, they are traitors.
They are ignorant sheep. You are lucky you are young enough and smart enough to see through the bullshit. Others are not that fortunate. While I understand where you are coming from, belittling people about their past failures is not conducive to them helping your cause.
Positive reinforcement works wells for people as well as dogs. Especially when our educational system is putting out the equivalent of a golden retrievers.
I understand your frustration, but this wasn't made this fucked up in one day, otherwise these people that you claim are traitors would have been right next to you fighting the whole time.

u.s. Military veterans hang enormous banner on front of newseum in wash. Dc, wrapping their message around first amendment
earlier this afternoon u.s. Military veterans hung an enormous banner on the front of the newseum in washington, dc, wrapping their message around the first amendment.
Several veterans for peace dropped the banner down the front of the newseum, while others distributed special edition copies of the war crimes times, explaining the action and what they considered obscene.
National president of vfp mike ferner, 59, who served as a navy corpsman during vietnam said:
"the american public should be shocked that we are still killing and crippling thousands of innocent people in these countries as well as our own soldiers -- that's what's truly obscene. Blowing people's arms and legs off, burning, paralyzing them, causing sewage to run through their streets, polluting the water that kills and sickens children, terrorizing and bombing people and their livestock with flying robots-- that defines obscenity. If this banner shocks and offends a single person who hasn't been shocked and offended by what's being done in our name, we've accomplished our mission."
