I don't know what I'd do...and I've thought about it long and hard. It's a very disturbing thought process, especially if you have young children like me.

It depends on who's doing the evacuating and how many of them there are. Maybe I'd ask, "can I bring a handgun for protection?" and they say "No", I'd probably answer, "okay, just let me grab my coat", at which I probably grab something that will most likely be the last thing i hold onto while my family jets out the back.

you'd probably have some warning as the vans/buses would be making their way down the street, so you'd probably have a few minutes to bug out. I think bugging out to the hill country is the best idea for survival. are there road blocks? they probably don't have enough personnel for that, so i'd guess you could get outta town if you stayed away from main roads. when they don't let you leave, you know it's going to turn out bad regardless.

The one thing to remember is that there are more of us then them, by a long shot. Even with all the military (active/reserve), national guard and local law enforcement, they don't have enough. add americorps or obamacorps and there's still not a lot, even if they are armed.

forced vaccinations/quarantines are my line in the sand. no one's sticking me with anything i don't want, even if i have to suffer the chance of getting one of the mildest flu's in history (H1N1 as it stands right now is not even a blip on the radar).

H1N1 has been very mild, according to the WHO:

So is this a public health emergency crisis or the flu being hijacked as a public health emergency crisis?

I always thought those in smaller communitites made for easier targets given the oft result of power hungry officials operating in the vacinities. When it comes to running smaller communities it seems every attempt is made to go after federal bucks to make up for the lack of bucks coming from a few citizens.

I find more road blocks by law enforcement in rural area's than I do in urban. Government officials in smaller area's have less to do so therefore opt to have the potential to be more productive in enforcing this biologocal warfare, especially with the force of the federal government empowering their new powers that strip us of our constitutional rights.

IMO it is easier to get lost in the shadow of an urban area than a rural.

PARIS — Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School will be the site of a National Guard riot control drill Thursday morning to prepare in the event of a panic over distribution of serum to treat the swine flu.

The school on Route 26 at the Paris-Norway town line has been designated by state officials as a distribution site for the H1N1 flu vaccine. The drill is to prepare for a worst-case scenario should the serum have to be transported from Augusta and people rush to get it.

On Thursday morning, four or five National Guard Humvees will travel from Augusta to Paris with vials of fake serum. The National Guardsmen will take on the roles of panicked citizens and military police and practice what they would do, such as using tear gas, in the case of a riot.

As a former Medic I have seen year after year where different strains of flu develop. Now how exactly do they know which flu is coming? Seems like someone has a plan to me.

I can't imagine a scenario where people are actually rioting to get the vaccine. Seems more likely it would be the other way around.
