[Mike Johnson is the new Speaker] The Great Speaker Race

BREAKING: Republicans Who Voted to Oust Former Speaker McCarthy Willing to Accept Retribution to Elect Jordan as Speaker

Washington, D.C. — Today, U.S. Congressman Matt Gaetz (FL-01), along with Reps. Andy Biggs (AZ-05), Tim Burchett (TN-02), Eli Crane (AZ-02), Bob Good (VA-05), Nancy Mace (SC-01), and Matt Rosendale (MT-02) sent a letter to the House GOP Conference stating they are willing to accept “censure, suspension, or removal from the Conference” in order to elect Rep. Jim Jordan (OH-04) as the 56[SUP]th[/SUP] Speaker of the House.

Full text of the Dear Colleague Letter can be found HERE and below.

LETTER TEXT

Dear Colleague:

The recent passage of the Motion to Vacate the Speaker has caused rancor, hurt feelings and acrimony in the House Republican Conference. While we stand by our actions, it is our goal to proceed forward with our colleagues, our teammates, our fellow Republicans in a manner that embraces reconciliation.

It has been suggested the Conference cannot move forward until there are consequences for each of us. While we violated no rule of either the House or Republican Conference, we understand some in the Conference wish to punish us.

The actions we took were never about us – they were to change Washington for the better. The House now needs a Speaker, and we have a Speaker-Designate in Jim Jordan of Ohio.

Therefore, if the holdouts who refuse to vote for Speaker-Designate Jordan would be willing to “vote with the team” and elect him the 56th House Speaker, we are prepared to accept censure, suspension, or removal from the Conference to accomplish this objective. We remain proud members of the Republican Party, as nominated by our respective districts.

What unites us as Republicans is more important than our disagreements. We must now come together to elect Jim Jordan. We offer this sincerely and with the hope of unity with purpose. Our fidelity to Republican virtues and principles remains unwavering.

Sincerely,

Andy Biggs
Member of Congress

Tim Burchett

Eli Crane

This is somewhat off-topic - but only somewhat:

Republicans & conservatives are more concerned about preserving decorum than they are about defeating their enemies.

Democrats & progressives are more concerned about defeating their enemies than they are about preserving decorum.

Racist McCarthy Endorses Ukraine RINO Emmer Over 100% Liberty Score Byron Donalds for Speaker

Despite having a 100% Liberty Score and being clearly capable for the job, the old white men network in DC strikes again. Former Speaker Massah Kevin McCarthy immediately endorsed Minnesota RINO Tom Emmers, who never met a Ukraine money laundering bill he didn't like, over rising star Byron Donalds of Florida for Speaker of the House. This was after 88 RINOS stabbed Jim Jordan in the back in a secret vote, withdrawing his nomination for Speaker.

Donalds is known for his razor sharp retorts to CNN talkingheads, and his staunch opposition to more money for corrupt Ukrainian oligarchs.

You would think the Republican conference would be proud to put forth a Black man as impressive as Donalds, and dare the Democrats to vote against him. The optics are dreamy. But they will throw that chance away because, to paraphrase the great George Carlin, it's one big club, and Donalds ain't in it.

Yep, that's the exact progressive playbook. Why? Because they don't have any morals at all. Read the book Confrontational Politics by HL Richardson and he explains why the left tends to win essentially by any means necessary.

I’ll add that the left runs on emotions and feelings, which leads directly to BAMN when the emotions are jealousy, greed, anger, hatred, and rage.

BREAKING: Liz Cheney is now the favorite to become the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives.

GOP nominee for House speaker Jim Jordan has no path to the 217 votes needed to get elected Speaker.

25 GOP reps told JORDAN he will never be speaker.

GOP House speaker candidate can only afford to lose four Republicans out of the 217 in the conference if all Democrats vote against.

Democratic members of the house are considering nominating Former House member Liz Cheney for speaker as a compromise candidate.

Hakeem Jeffries: "we are saying to traditional Republican colleagues, good men & women on the other side of the aisle, end the attachment to the extremist Jordan & join w/Democrats in finding a bipartisan path forward"

"The bipartisan path forward is Liz Cheney", 10 House Democratic members told us.

The Constitution does not require the speaker to be an incumbent member of the House of Representatives, although every speaker thus far has been.

Dems are not likely to get the Five GOP votes needed to elect Hakeem Jeffries as speaker.

Hakeem Jeffries needed 10 GOP House members to vote “present,” which would have lowered the majority threshold to 212 votes - electing Democrat Hakeem Jeffries as elected speaker.

Under House rules, the winning speaker candidate must attain a majority among all representatives. Assuming full attendance, the majority threshold is 217 in the 433-member House (Republicans have a 221-to-212 seat majority.

GOP House speaker candidate can only afford to lose four Republicans out of the 217 in the conference if all Democrats vote against.

it's time to talk about Liz Cheney.

It's so much easier for Liz Cheney to get elected speaker than Democrat Hakeem Jeffries.

The Constitution does not require the speaker to be an incumbent member of the House of Representatives, although every speaker thus far has been.

Before her Criticism of former President Donald Trump, Liz Cheney was No. 3 in the GOP leadership.

With control of 221 seats, GOP controls just 9 more seats than Democrats’ 212, meaning that five GOP defections joining Dems are enough to elect compromise candidate as speaker.

Liz Cheney has the GOP numbers to become speaker.

10 GOP and 10 Dem U.S House REPS told us, "Liz Cheney could be the compromise candidate for Speaker."

UPDATE: House Republicans voted to remove Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) as their speaker nominee.

The conference voted 112–86 in a secret ballot.

Dems are set to nominate Liz Cheney for speaker in the Next House Vote.

10 Dem U.S House REPS told us, "Liz Cheney is the compromise candidate for Speaker."
