He should be #1 on their list. Liberal comes from the term Liberalism. Classical Liberalism defines Ron Paul. Just because the neo-cons have used it is a derogatory word does not mean it is one. The problem is it has become synonymous with many other meanings in some peoples mind. Just as "Conservative" has come to mean "hawkish foreign policy" in many peoples mind, "Liberal" has become known as "big spenders" in many others minds.
