Michigan & New Hampshire in play for Ron Paul
Here’s a few quick observations about the Ron Paul for President campaign:
Not too long ago, I predicted that Ron Paul could win the Republican presidential primary in Michigan. Today I got some anecdotal evidence. A couple of people were circulating a Michigan Medical Marijuana petition. I signed the petition, and then asked them if they’d been following the presidential elections. When they said they were, I asked them if they ever heard of Ron Paul. Not only did they know about him, they said “Yeah, now that it’s only Hillary for the Democrats, we’re gonna cross over and vote Republican.
Now, not only is Michigan in play, but two different articles are claiming that Ron Paul could win in New Hampshire as well. The first one is regarding Ron Paul’s poll position in New Hampshire. The second one comes from Howard Fineman in Newsweek of all places.
Earlier today, I noticed Jacob “Bumper” Hornberger listed as a contributor to Ron Paul’s campaign. He’s a libertarian’s libertarian. He’s the guy who was vying for the LP nomination for president in 1996 or 2000 (sorry, can’t remember which) because Harry Browne wasn’t libertarian enough for him! As far as I can remember, he was pretty much diametrically opposed to Ron’s position on immigration. Still, if people like Bumper are coming on board, that means that the rest of the “No compromise with reality” crowd in the libertarian movement can’t be too far behind. I’m sure Bumper realizes that Ron Paul would bring us much closer to liberty than any other candidate running.
After last night’s Fox News debate, I made a little video demonstrating that you can’t vote more than once in the the Fox News debate poll. The video has been viewed almost 450 times already!
Speaking of polls, here’s one you can vote in. It’s asking “Who’s the most conservative candidate?” We can honestly vote for Ron Paul, since he wants to restore the Constituion. What could be more conservative than that? Ron Paul currently trails Mike Huckabee 45% to 27%. No, you can’t vote more than once in this one either.
With just over 4.5 hours to go, the campaign is still about $100k short of it’s $430k goal. Time to make your donation NOW! Even $5 or $10 could help make a difference.
