McMillin is third in a very competitive race. The good news is he's soundly trouncing Moss. The bad news is Rocky Razckowzki joined the race and Marty Knollenberg could as well. They both have high name recognition from prior campaigns.

Rocky lost against Gary Peters in MI-9 back in 2010.

Marty Knollenberg is the son of Rep. Joe Knollenberg (who lost to Peters in 2008). Marty most recently lost the county treasurer race and the Troy mayor race.

It's obviously all about name recognition at this point (Marty dominates Troy and Tom dominates Rochester Hills). It would be a real shame not to have McMillin in the legislature, so please do whatever you can to support him.

How's the ground game going up there?

In my opinion, Tom probably has the most "boots on the ground" at this point. He came to a house meeting recently to discuss the campaign and there were 20-30 supporters there. He said he was certain no other candidate was having supporter meetings like this.

We'll be starting in April as the weather improves but I'd like to get going as soon as possible and get the "first mover" advantage. The Royal Oak area could "swing" the race and I have a pretty good list of Republican voters, so I'll be starting there.
