Mexico refuses to pay for wall

Just because trump supporters are the loudest doesn't mean they are a majority

1. Just because poll says it's a majority, doesn't mean it's a majority.
2. Just because majority support some issue based on some wording, it doesn't mean it'll support this issue if wording was different.
3. Just because a majority supports something now, it doesn't mean it'll support it tomorrow.
4. Just because a majority supports something, it doesn't mean the majority is right.

Anyway, based on what I know, most Americans are against illegal immigration and against amnesty and most establishments are for it.

By the way, I am practically certain that once elected, Trump will announce some kind of amnesty.

As an example, what do you think the results would be of these polls:

"Should the existing laws on border patrol and emigration be enforced?"
"Should the current laws be changed to allow illegal immigrants to stay in the U.S.?"
"Should illegal aliens be given a path to citizenship ahead of people who want to emigrate to the U.S. legally?"

A better poll would be how many rapists do you think the mainstream candidates will bus in to vote in the primaries to ensure any candidate pushing anti-immigration policies don't win the nomination?

Hell, you could make it much simpler than that:

"Does America need more Third World Immigration, or Less?" Would anybody seriously bet on the result not being at least 75% support for the "less" option? There is a reason the establishment is losing their heads over Trump. The success of the current Third World Migration policy is dependent on the ability of the elites and MSM to maintain the long running ban on public discussion of immigration policy.

For the people saying we should just take it out of the foreign aid we give them. Just know that one

The foreign aid to Mexico is actually tied to something. Things like access for our DEA agents, weapons contracts etc would be gone. All foreign aids is money for favors, there is really no free lunch in it

Also, you are still paying for the wall not Mexico. So regardless of any plan possible in Trumps imagination, the U.S. tax payers are still paying for the wall.

I don't know if I'd shoot anybody who crosses the border myself, but the so-called undocumented immigrants who have either raped or murdered somebody would do well to get 2 in the back of the head, after a trial and conviction of course. I also might entertain publicly flogging a state or city official who would release such a person under "sanctuary city" standards.

Perhaps. But their being undocumented immigrants wouldn't be relevant to that.

That's a pretty compelling argument to end "aid" in and of itself....

The question then is this. Is that what Mr. Trump wants? My guess is that he want to continue the drug war and the corporation we are getting from Mexico.

I kind of wish we could train and educate the best of the immigrants who come here specifically to give them the tools to go back and challenge their own government.

Hope not like US and allies have been doing with ISIS-type groups to change regime in Syria ; -)

That would be a big plus, I agree, but the majority of people entering the country illegally, are not in drug cartels.

Yeah they just want to roof your houses and mow your yards. Shoot em on sight amiright?

This is because they've repeatedly been told the lie that deporting the millions of illegals is some impossible task, and because of the "think of the chiiiiiiillllldren!" propaganda. Deporting violent criminal aliens likely has strong majority support, and deporting illegals with no kids would probably paint a different picture of the numbers too.
