METAL

I'm sure there was at least one time I listened to that song while on drugs and playing D & D. I should be dead many times over.
I suspect that "controversy" came about because macabre type metal hadn't been so popular previously. But w/e. Every generation has their "devil's music" or something. Except kids today, I think. I don't really pay attention to pop music, but happier stuff seems to be more popular amongst the normally angst-ridden teens.

This thread crashes my browser so I can't read it. I trust this has already been posted, especially since I know the OP agrees with me that it's one of the best albums ever. From 1981, I present The Crue.

Definitely a classic.

And how many people jumped on the Crue bandwagon after "Home Sweet Home"?

I did not discover Crue until the Dr. Feelgood album but I quickly found their back catalog and fell in love.

Yeah, that happens. But the people I'm talking about made fun of Crüe on the first album, even more so on the second, and then all of a sudden they're big fans after Home Sweet Home was a mega-hit. (And then they start saying "oh yeah, always been a Crüe fan. Their first album was the best").

First time I heard their first album was live, on their first tour. Loved it on first listen. ;)

For me it is a toss up between Too Fast For Love and Shout At The Devil. I just simply cannot choose as they are both amazing albums.

Best. Metal. Album. Ever.

Force yourself to listen to the entire first 5 minutes, you will not be able to put it down after. This is the musical form of crack.

That album brings back a lot of memories. Memphis Will Be Laid To Waste has one of the best breakdowns in all of hardcore history.
