Meet Trump's Cabinet-in-waiting

Wait until he is actually on the job. His supporters may be disappointed in what he does and doesn't do.

Maybe, but at least we'll be honest about it, unlike the Never Trumpers.

Regarding the OP. They don't know anything about what Trump might do, they are just guessing based one who has been campaigning with him. I fully expect some bad apples to get in his cabinet, but hopefully there will be some good ones too. Let's wait and see whom he actually picks.

Im curious to see what happens with Peter Thiel.

The guy was the only high profile member of the tech industry to full on back Trump and that should mean a lot.

Thiel is a Libertarian, the guy is gonna get superior access now and likely will have Trump's ear on anything tech related and more.

A lot of the liberal silicon valley people who opposed Trump are now going to get on their knees for Thiel to allow them access. Everyone is attracted to power.

The silicon valley billionaires have way more power than the POTUS. They will beg for nothing.

House Homeland Security Cmte Chairman Michael McCaul said to be top contender for Homeland Security secretary in Trump administration, according to people familiar with President-elect Donald Trump’s deliberations.

  • Trump considering John R. Bolton, Senate Foreign Relations Cmte Chair Bob Corker for sec. of state post
    • NOTE: Bolton served as U.S. ambassador to UN under George W. Bush administration; Corker is Republican senator from Tenn.
  • Sen. Jeff Sessions said to be interested in Defense posting; Trump has told Sessions he has pick of cabinet post.
  • Former mayor of New York Rudy Giuliani said to be leading contender for attorney general, two sources say

It's unfortunate that Rand doesn't have the relationship with Trump that it seemed Ron did with Romney. Trump seems one to reward loyalty.

What is the liberty movement doing?
Rationalizing how a Secretary Bolton and a Goldman Sachs crony and Mr. Blue Lives Matter are going to come in and work for liberty.

Damn purists! :eek::rolleyes:

I'm not going to speculate about cabinet appointments themselves, but the fact that Chris Christie, Newt Gingrich, and Rudy "Have you Read Any Books Recently?" Giuliani are getting any praise, are this close to Trump, or even being discussed as future appointments is a gross testament to how much work liberty folks have to do.

And to the point about Rand and Ron, hate them all you want on their own forum. Rand and especially Ron are not going to sell their soul like Newt and Rudy and betray their principles. In fact, watching Alex Jones on Election Day, it was honestly embarrassing how hard he was trying to get Ron Paul to endorse Trump on anything he could, but Ron as always masterfully dodged it all and made his position as an educator and not a politician clear.

The fact is, you can't rely on the Pauls for everything. Some of us on here are going to have to start doing the legwork to get liberty a voice in this administration or we're going to get four years of neocons once again. And I doubt Hillary, who probably owes some very powerful people some favors, is done just yet.

Because Trump only likes alphas. Rand will need to uncuck himself. He can do it. He is a senator. That's an advantage compared to a postman. But any man can uncuck himself.

One of the first step is to never behave or think like Jeb Bush. My mom is the strongest woman in the whole universe kind of line of thought.

Texas Official Who Called Clinton C-word Considered for Trump Cabinet -
Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller, who was criticized during the presidential campaign for using a crude word about Hillary Clinton, is being considered for Agriculture Secretary in the Donald Trump administration.

Miller, already a member of Trump's agricultural advisory board, was enthusiastic about the opportunity, Chron reported.

“I think I’ve got the best job on the planet being agriculture commissioner of the state of Texas,” Miller said. “I’m certainly flattered. I’d want to pray about it and talk to my family about it.”
If named secretary, Miller said he would increase trade. He said he would like to see America “win again” through agricultural commodities, and open Cuba’s trade up completely.

Former Texas Gov. Rick Perry is also on the list of those being considered for the position, Politico reported Wednesday.

Miller got national attention in October when a tweet on his campaign account about presidential polls referred to Clinton as the four-letter c-word. Miller's office initially said his account was hacked then blamed it on a staffer copying and pasting another tweet. Miller later apologized.

Ugh to Bolton for anything. Or Rudy..or Gingrich. "Neocons R Us".

Very doubtful about Bolton. Bolton is a hardliner against Russia. Trump's main adviser Flynn is the opposite of him. I could see Rudy as AG because he's relentless. I wouldn't have a problem with it because Rudy is incensed with the Clinton/Obama corruption ring.

Rand would have encountered the same problem because the only people with experience are tied to Washington unfortunately. So you keep the exposure to a minimum and set out strict protocols from the chain of command.

Face it dude. Trump is going to surround himself with a bunch of neocon has-beens.
