Medina signs during Glenn Beck's keynote CPAC speech?

perfect! the signs would stand out more...

I wouldn't know what to do... the deal is that we need to get under Glenn Beck's skin so he focuses less on his projects and more on himself... listeners will get tired of him talking about himself...

Glenn Beck's just ADD enough to get taken off course and driven into defense mode....

but damiengwa is right, we can't make this look bad on RP supporters etc...

I think it is a bad idea. How would it not look bad? Last thing Medina needs is to get more on Beck's bad side seeing as he is one of the kingmakers.

Personally I don't think the movement against Beck would have to be about Debra Medina... it'd have to be about Glenn Beck...

Seeing as how Glenn Beck isn't going to shut up about Debra anyway, I don't see any negative consequences from a well-behaved Medina sign wave during Glenn's speech in order to push him into a psychotic breakdown.

"CPAC" is really anything but...

Having gone to a college that sent a dispurportionately large representation of students there, it's attended by almost exclusively the power-hungry future aides to congressmen who want to figure out a shortcut to power.

Most of them have no real conservative or even ideological principles whatsoever. Most of the folks there were cheering for Bush 2 years ago, even as he laughed at "conservatism"...

What about (calmly and without comment) getting up and walking out as he gets into his speech. If there are enough of you, Beck will surely get the message and that way it is more about Beck and won't directly reflect on Medina, Paul or any other candidate.
People do occasionally need to take smoke or pee breaks. :p
And do you really need to hear what Beck has to say, anyway? If so, catch it on YouTube later.

He won't notice.

The problem is that conservatives tend to be much more respectful of people in positions of authority when they are speaking.... which means that interrupting Beck is likely going to cause some serious blowback there among the people who don't know why you're opposing him...

This is why I think a silent Medina sign wave would be the best way to derail his speech without any blowback for us.

I think the lights shining on stage are really bright. I don't think he will be able to see anything during the speech. Silent and/or visual probably won't work if you want him to notice...at least not during the speech.

Amen sir on that one. As one JBSers said it was like doing missionary work. Still it's worth being there even if you convert a handful. Perhaps they'll do the same among impressionable youth and so forth and so forth.

The fact that bright lights shine in the eyes of anyone on stage is a good argument against the silent sign wave tactic (which is the only psychological warfare tactic against Beck at CPAC that doesn't risk blowback in my opinion). Has anyone been able to determine if there are any areas of the ball room that are visible from the podium?

Kevin O'Dell--are you a member here? Could you see anything from the podium?

I say give this lame-o the silent treatment. At this point, we're way out front on the weekend and don't need to risk burning any freshly built bridges over this guy.

Yep, im here, i havent posted in awhile. i think an organized beck protest would be very healthy. i have been told by cpac that no signs are allowed this year because they block the camera views. the lights are bright but i could easily look into the crowd and see all of the enthusiasm from Ron's supporters and that his what really got me going!!!! THANKS EVERYONE!!!! I told cpac staff that i was gonna sneak a sign in for becks speech, and i just got a little chuckle, so whatever they can pull me out whatever. beck needs to be exposed in my opinion, another thing we could do is just get there early get up in the front and boo him. please contact me if you would like to organize something and plan on going to cpac. my email is [email protected]. Thanks-Kevin

I've been informed that signs are not allowed inside the ball room. I don't think this is worth breaking CPAC's rules over. If we believe in private property, then we have to respect their rules.
