By now, you realize that the mainstream media strongly influences the majority of Americans. Main stream media is powerful. But have you wondered just how powerful?
If the media withholds even some information reality can be drastically distorted. Try a thought experiment. Imagine you are looking at a clock as the seconds hand ticks around clockwise. Next, imagine the media controlled a piece of paper infront of your face that obstructed your view of the clock. Your last glimpse of the clock displayed the seconds hand directly vertical.
Imagine the media kept the paper there for 59 seconds before again giving you a quick glimpse of the clock. The seconds hand is now a tick to the left of where you last saw it. It rested on the “59” second mark. If the media repeated this process again, your next look would show the seconds hand on the "58," and then the "57," and then the "56"...and so on until "reality" would become the conclusion that the seconds hand is actually moving counter-clockwise.
But you may ask: wouldn't the 59 second lull before each glimpse at the clock tip me off that something was wrong? Maybe it should. But the problem is the media doesn't just passively shield the aspects of the truth, it also actively distracts the viewer from even looking. If the media can hold up its proverbial piece of paper and in the meantime get you to observe an entertaining puppet show outside the view of the clock, then you won't be as aware of the lull between glimpses. Thus, the media is more able to shield and distort the truth without any tip off. Consequently, the conclusion that the seconds hand is moving counter-clockwise becomes much more real.
So what does this mean for a supporter of Ron Paul? First, never get discouraged based on what the media tells us. We will hear time and again in the coming weeks that Ron Paul has no chance. It is not true. Ron Paul has a serious chance to win. Second, we must realize that most people are looking at that partially shielded clock and puppet show. They are being distracted and deceived. Changing someone’s reality is no small task.
I believe to effectively change the mind of someone with a preconceived conclusion of Ron Paul an advocate for Paul should...finish article at http://www.ronforrevolution.com/blog.py#countermoves1
