McCain's getting old, what if he has health issues before the convention?

Yeah, I know it's a long shot, but McCain's pretty old, if he were to have some health issues before the convention, like a heart attack, etc., and Ron Paul is still in the race, AND a lot of people are starting to wonder why the didn't vote for him in the primaries...

Unethical? Do you think John McCain is ethical? Hell, I would be dancing in the street if he dropped dead from a heart attack before the convention. I think most other people on this forum would be too.

If McCain dies or becomes physically incapable of continuing (he's already mentally incapable but that's a different issue ) then Romney steps back in and wins the hearts and minds of the Republican Party.

Short of Ron Paul winning, McCain winning gives us the best strategic advantage in retaking the Republican party.

Now I understand why Romney didn't drop out entirely - it's a safeguard incase by some miracle McCain is unable to run, or a swif-boat takes him out.

Then Romney steps in and blocks Paul again.

Sigh. I knew there was a reason Romney suspended his campaign throwing it to McCain, but not dropping out entirely.

Yeah, but Dr. Paul isn't eaten by worms from the inside. McCain looked like a walking corpse during the debates. This is taking a steeper toll on his health than people realize. My secret hope has been for awhile that McCain will just keel over. It's damned near a miracle that a bolt from God hasn't just seared his butt already.

Whether McCain's health becomes an issue in the primary or not, you can bet your bottom dollar the democrats will make an issue of it in the general election.
