Can someone please "download" the dean scream as well as the Iraq soldier video. I don't know how to do this, and I'm afraid they will get taken down.

He has to hit him hard on this. Not for a gimmick or a strategy, but because the people should know the truth and know how important it is.

BUT much more importantly, he ALSO must, in this debate, and in ads or however for the next few days, hit Obama on the war (not out til at least 2013) (as well as the patriot act, and taxes).

If he (and his Campaign) does not do this strongly, they may be giving up 5-10 or more percentage points. We need boldness and a shouted, strong message that defines him as better and necessary.

McCain's Achilles Heel (temper) is his weakness. He barely let the questioner finish and McCain was so eager to overwhelm his questioner with his answer that he blurts out that our troops could be in Iraq for 100 years. McCain then defends his reasoning on the basis that our troops have been in South Korea and Japan for 50 years. Well, maybe the South Koreans and Japanese don't won't want our troops in their countries anymore. Furthermore, if we keep billeting our troops in various countries for decades or centuries, as John McCain would like, then either we have to expand the military via a draft or else withdraw troops from other countries to maintain a presence in new countries. In either case, America then becomes a victim of "Imperial Overstretch", which is one of the factors that ultimately doomed the British Empire when it took on more military responsibilities than it could afford.

The reactions on the people's faces is priceless. Especially the guy with the beard. It's like they're thinking "Say what?"

Does HQ know about this????

What with Obama voting for torture, detention without trial and funding the war... now McCain wants 100yr war in Iraq.

HQ has $20m+ - surely they can get this message out. With all the Ind voters we should clean up in NH...

I think we need 527's or something similar to make the swiftboat ads.

That way Paul can say he's stayed positive.

BTW, which vote are you talking about for Obama? I know he has funded the war. Did he vote for the MCA? and when did he vote for torture?

Ah, this needs to get out immediately.

The campaign's new strategy in NH should be to highlight the fact that McCain wants us to stay in Iraq for "100 years", because "we are in Vietnam and Korea".

Where does it end McCain? This is exactly what Ron Paul is telling us we are spread too thin and if we continue our empire will fall rapidly.

Yep. This will work with Republicans if it's played the right way. Even Hannity thinks we are spread too thin.

Some peole like this idea, my dad who is libertarian on domestic issues, thinks that its a good think that we still have troops in Germany and Japan to keep them from rising up again militarily.
