McCain Says He Could Lose Over War Issue!!

He knows he's going to lose. Even the GOP base knows this and THEY DON'T CARE. As long as they 'don't lose their honor'. Huckabee said it, and this is how a lot of them think.

In one of the debates he said "I'd rather lose an election than lose a war". And this was way before he was a "frontrunner".

Well, if he gambles away the GOP chances of winning the White House the way he gambled on his campaign loan vs. his own finance reform law, I would place my money on another candidate. The GOP is stupid!

I wish it were true that stupidity is only a GOP phenomenon, but apparently most of the American public isn't so bright -- our field of likely Presidents is Obama, Clinton, and McCain? Seriously? Because, damn.

And obviously McCain might lose in part because of the war issue. And the immigration issue. And the campaign finance issue. And the 2nd amendment issue. And so on and so forth. I'm glad that he's at least aware of this. I'll upgrade him from "completely insane" to "raging, self-absorbed lunatic."

McCain recalled reading a USA Today poll that he said showed most people believe the troop-increase strategy is succeeding, and said: "Now, still the majority of Americans want out of Iraq. And, I understand that, too. So do I."

I thought he wanted the war to continue for another 100 years?! Flip flopper!!!

If McCain had any real Honor he would drop out and support Ron Paul....... notice I said..... "If!"

sounds like something Custer might have said. We all know what happened to him and his army.

It's all a set up so Obama can win! Ex-Federal reserve chairman is backing Obama. *light bulb comes on*

As each day goes by, Obama is starting to sound more and more like a mixture of a TV evangelist and MLK.....scary.

No, it was all set up so Clinton could win, but she couldn't even get her party's nomination. Apparently, Obama was able to hijack it because he is sufficiently willing to play ball to avoid the Paul ignore and smear treatment.

That's a sick man. Lose a war??? Isn't this really an invasion and occupation? Man, we think differently!

For some reason, I get the impression that the GOP has agreed to take a hit in this election, in other words, they're throwing the game. Nothing else could explain them pushing McCain. And obviously they'll do whatever it takes to keep their lame candidate out front, including hacking votes and scratching Ron Paul's name off ballots.

If you're trying to throw a game, would you allow your best quarterback to get off the bench?

sorry, not familiar with your analogy. probably shouldn't have used the throwing a game example. what i was thinking about was when in a boxing match, you tell your boxer that he's got to let the other guy win. that's what i feel like the republican party has done. conceded to the wishes of the elite who've been planning on replacing their 8-year republican with an 8 year democrat.

Huckleberry is just holding on because of Ron Paul.

As far as the GOP losing. I'm almost glad they are gonna lose everything. Maybe this will finally bring them back. Fact is, if McCain did win, it would be the birth of the almighty neocons. (not just your typical GW kind) And it would also be the death of the few remaining conservatives.

I don't like Obama or Hitlery. But I dispise John Mc-insane.
