McCain loses 28% of Republican vote!

This shows discontent within the Presumptive Republican Nominee. You can bet your bottom dollar that McShame is going to begin a new approach in his campaign within a week. Maybe he will call it the "Straight Conservative Express."

Although Pennsylvania is where Dr. Paul had his highest turnout for his rallies, this still shows that more people are looking for an alternative to the media moguled candidates. Hence, Dr. Paul's highest popular vote in the primary season coming this late in the season.

NC is coming up.. but I don't think we'll see the results that were gotten in PA. It's possible, and it would make a huge statement if McCain lost 25-30% of the Republican vote again, but I don't see or hear any of the signs of that happening here.

Huck question

Between Dr. Paul and Huckster voters, 28% of PA's Republicans say NO to Juan McCain!

I'm in PA, and proudly cast my vote for Ron yesterday. I'm, also, very pleased at that he received 16% of the popular vote.

However, I would have been even more elated had he received the full anti-McCain vote.

So here's my (serious) question: WHY was Mike Huckabee still on the ballot? Did he not formally withdraw in early March? How long does it take to accurately adjust a state's ballot to reflect this? Can anyone explain?

When all the Republican votes were counted, more than 200,000 ended up in the columns of what can best be described as the Anybody-but-McCain candidates.

McCain won 72% of the vote. Only on these forums can you find people that think that our candidate get 16% and the opponent gets 72% somehow our guy won.

For those of you that have trouble understanding statistics let me put it for you this way- Your rival college basketball team scores 72 points and your team scores 16 points. Do you think your team or the other team won?

I agree that people here have been somewhat overly optimistic in the past... but... no one in this threa has insinuated in any way that Ron Paul won.

JMann -- this is the second thread that I've seen where you're trying to spread this message.. and missing the point.. here.. go read this.. http://tinyurl.com/67nuzs it's not that Paul got 16% (which is pretty amazing considering how little his official campaign did) -- it's that a huge number of people in PA rejected McCain. The message of Ron Paul is getting through to the masses. That is worth getting excited about.

Indiana could be a repeat if not better. Assuming Dr. Paul makes a few stops there.

Sadly, I feel this won't matter in the general. Too many people believe the Red Sox versus Yankees scheme of politics, so will vote against the Democrats, not for McCain.

Troll alert!

16% is pretty good for Ron Paul. Glad to see his support is solid even when he's mathematically eliminated from contention. Hope the entrenched GOP leadership starts warming up to the "Ron Paul Republicans".
