maybe we SHOULD write him in

Did anyone think of starting a website that counts unique clicks that would tally up all those who vote for Ron Paul write in or Gary Johnson or anyone else for that matter?

A public way of counting votes going in. A way to compare the "publicized results" from the MSM to something else?

Kind of like the internet petitions that you sign your name to. It would remove the privacy part of voting but the enemies of the constitution have been using that as a crutch for too long.

I am always trying to think of away of checking the accountability in elections after what we saw this year.

People were able to really see the problems in states like Maine where you could literally count the votes plainly and had a difficult time hiding fraud. Same for Nevada where when the count was allowed you could clearly see that Ron Paul was winning.

You know that no matter how many times the MSM tries to plant the idea that Ron Paul was never getting the majority vote you couldn't help but notice his 2nd place status nearly everywhere.... except for the places they actually counted the ballots publicly.

I was just listening to Geraldo Rivera on 790 KABC on the way to work and he asked this lady who she was voting for when she criticized Romney. She said she is voting Gary Johnson. Immediately Geraldo chastised her saying "hahaha, oh you are throwing your vote away?". To which she replied "I am voting my conscience".

I can't help but think that these tv and radio hosts are paid to say things like that.
Best way I can think of to make sure there is no cheating is to have two or more systems in place to count the same votes. Each one being sponsored by a different entity. If everything is on the up and up, they should all agree and the results would come out the same. Something along the lines of....

You fill out your ballot, then run it through the first machine sponsored by entity A for counting and then run it through the second machine sponsored by entity B for counting again. Both of them then would have to match the count in the end. The more entities taking the vote the better.

So, I'm depressed and so is my wife about voting in Colorado. Unfortunately, I cannot write in Ron Paul as a write in because he is clearly my first choice. Although he is not the same, I am casting my vote for GJ and my wife sticken it to Romney and plugging her nose for a vote to Obummer.

Please someone tell me that they figured out a loophole in Colorado that I can vote for the man.

Well, if you do it will be counted as undervote, which is a 'none of the above' category. It would be in with all the other 'none of the ballot names' category votes, though, which for me is second best to having Ron's vote counted for Ron, but it depends on what is more important to you. Me, I'd write him in anyhow, and if the 'none of the above' number was large I'd spread it around , but different people feel differently about that.

*still hoping for Gilbert's case to prevail* but in leiu of.. there's a close enough state to set up a temp residence (have til the 27th) to make a move if I want to vote where write ins count (Alabama)
