Maybe RON PAUL is forming a new party - CONSTITUTIONALISTS?

I was thinking the same thing, that's probably not it, but I also had that thought.

Why would he form it 60 days before the major election? It'd be smarter to do it in about 6 months to organize for 2010 and 2012.

and why would he invite Nader and McKinney?

exactly.

Also why reinvent the wheel? but maybe something to try and band those parties together, strange bedfellows and all that?

Oof. I really don't want this to be a letdown. I hope it really is something big but it doesn't seem like Ron Paul is hyping it.

From the few articles I've seen so far..

it's going to be totally eclipsed by the Lehman problems tomorrow

"I'm not endorsing McCain.. and I'm encouraging all of my supporters to vote third party".. and "we're all in agreement on these 4 things". Seriously? Is that what the big hype is about?

I think Ron Paul would do better than Bob Barr as the Libertarian nominee. Perfect record, people feel fine giving money to him. And nobody would be shouting "write-in Ron Paul" because they wouldn't have to. They could vote for him!

Oh well. :P

Because if he did, and included Nader, Mckinney, Barr, Baldwin, and himself, it would be the best chance at having a viable third party, ever....

I doubt it would happen.
