Big Brother is big government united with big business. Big Brother is Barack Obama united with George W. Bush. Opposition to Big Brother unites Matt Drudge with conservative libertarians such as former Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) and liberal libertarians such as Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.).*

Let's put Big Brother in Guantanamo, so long as there is a Guantanamo. When I worked for House Democratic leaders, I was in the loop on much of this secret stuff and know a lot but can say little about this subject.

LOL! Yeah, I used to think Sanders was ok for sponsoring Ron's audit the fed in Senate -- UNTIL he sold out and due to white house pressure replaced the entire text with the Mel Watt amendment language Ron had defeated in the House. In return he seemed to get an 8 hour cosmetic filibuster (cosmetic as in the Senate wasn't even really in session, but CSPAN was left on....)

If Bush was doing this (which he was) Drudge would go back to ignoring it like a good neocon.

Honestly, he's done a complete 360 since 2007. He used to ignore Ron as well and after the campaign and the end of Bush's reign he started to flip and linking to infowars and other things but he was a cheerleader for much of Bush's reign of terror.

He liked Ron between campaigns and after it ended sent out some almost poetic tweets about him, but I think he was following the 'he can't win' line of attack during the campaign dmnt

but media that didn't give him a chance to get his word out properly is more guilty of the state of affairs than most.

Drudge pushes wars/interventionist neocon agenda, was cheerleader of Iraq war, now pushing Iran war drums/clash of civiliazation war drums again. Probably a closet Obama foreign policy supporter. Have you seen on Drudge this week any coverage of 3 US troops killed by an Afghan soldier yesterday or pleae deal by a US soldier accused of massacre of Afghan civilians?

Sanders though better than many neocons in Congress is an Obama lackey on many issues like drone wars and such.

Putting these people in same sentence as Ron Paul is highly inappropriate.

Yes he eventually covered the insider attack... it's up now.

I agree with the sentiment. Drudge flipped around 2008/9... a lot earlier than his neocon brethren who also flipped around this time like Mark Levin with the rise of the Tea Party. Drudge actually played an important role in encouraging the Tea Party by publicizing Rick Santelli's remarks.

He completely ignored Ron in 07/08. Warlord's cousin used to bomb him stories in vain. Then he got better.

Sanders supports massive government and spending but absolves himself of any of the tyrannical consequences. Like many liberals.
