Mitch McConnell might retire in 6 years. Grimes will be harder to get rid of. She'll masquerade as a moderate, like Marry Landrieu, and keep getting re-elected. McConnell would obviously be a better senator than Grimes, too.

That's assuming Grimes wouldn't hold onto the seat. Realistically speaking, given her backers, does she have a good chance or will McConnell squeak by and win another term?

You actually have no clue what you are talking about. Mitch is a political opportunist. Not a Principle politician. He goes with what will benefit him. Rand is the rising star and he can easily gain more by hitching wagons. Granted, I've only known him 22 years. Also, he'll be 78 when he runs again..... his whole goal has been to be Senate Leader.

Four months ago Bevin was on TV with commercials attacking McConnell (in my area). This week he is nowhere to be found--TV ad wise. Meanwhile McConnell hits with 2 ads every newscast. Successful campaigns are planned from election day back!

A lot of people cast their lot with Bevin because they disliked Mitch. I sided with Mitch because I thought he was the better candidate.

Bevin has since put up ads on TV and a mailer this week. He was just MIA for so long, seemed strange, especially considering McConnell was pounding on him.
