Matching Funds- Here are several ideas about matching funds followed by my opinion.

I have posted several things along these lines and my posts are apparently being ignored. This is a very big deal!!!!

If Ron Paul is not going to accept matching funds he needs to make it a huge news story. Right now he is not accepting them and some of the other candidates are. This puts Ron Paul's campaign at a serious disadvantage. If people don't know the others are taking the funds and they don't know that Ron Paul is not and exactly why it is an extremely poor decision not to have taken them.

I was a big supporter of him not taking the funds BUT!!!!!

the fact that he is not taking them needs to be exploited to some kind of concrete advantage. This is NOT being done and I don't even see it being discussed.

Someone who knows please tell what the plan is.

It's not a huge news story. Nobody who can raise money takes matching funds.

McCain is only taking matching funds because he can't take matching funds.

The grassroots can take the Revolution way farther than matching funds can, because matching funds come with spending limits.

So, please get a grip.

It's real simple. It goes against his ethics. Won't happen, won't make a big deal about it, because it's the right thing to do. You start with situational ethics now, and you're turning down a dangerous road. Better to not go there.

None of the other Republican contenders are taking matching funds. It doesn't mean that much right now.

Wow! You completely missed my point. I agree with you 100% that it is not a huge news story. My point was that it should be!

Edwards is taking them. John McCain is taking them. Obama is taking them unless his Republican opponent agrees not to.

If Ron Paul is not going to take them he needs to make it an issue.
