Mark Sanford agress with Newt. wants to attack Korea with electromagnetic weapon.

Sanford and Newt had both be more concerned about China's ability to hack into pentagon computers and to use EMP weapons of low grade force that just disrupts transmission and reception. The new digital age makes that more possible. A land line phone like the old rotary phones would still work without electricty. Now powers out everything is out. Cell phones, thats what a dropped call or out of range is, no ability to communicate. and that new digital tv broadcast signal get read for "low signal Strength" no picture or sound
and Sanford is a priviate public partnership public pays -priviate profits), RHINO, neo con, globalizationist

I say let South Korea and Japan deal with Kim Jong Squeal. If he's dumb enough to provoke a nuclear response from them, sucks to be him. Either that or authorize Letters of Marque and Reprisal and have his ass blown to kingdom come by a Blackwater merc so that the poor North Koreans don't have to suffer. This pre-emptive shit has to stop. Fucker threatened us, lets respond in kind the way the Constitution says (I favour the Letters myself).

Sanford is an idiot. North Korea is already almost in the stone age. There's no need to preemptively shoot them with an EMP pulse. Their Stalinist regime can't even successfully get a satellite into orbit--something the real Soviet Union was able to do in the late 1950s--and we're worried why? I think one answer to is endorse Japan and South Korea developing nuclear weapons or better rockets, if they so choose. We don't need to give them any assistance--these are both technically advanced countries that could probably do it in a year's time if we backed off and they acquired the public will to follow through with it. Getting these countries equipped with their own superweapons would also make eliminating our own presence in Asia more appealing to the masses here.

Why defend countries perfectly capable of defending themselves with troops, fleets, and military bases? This is already a rock solid argument regards to Europe. A little more responsibility on the part of our "allies" in Asia would make it equally palatable there too.

Sigh. Why can't we just let the Koreans be. Everyone shouldn't have to conform to our vision of how society should be. Let them do their thing and we can do ours. If we are right, we can prove it by enduring longer than them. Somehow I doubt we will outlast them the way things are going.

None of our business if North Korea want to launch satellites.

Sanford will turn out to be just another neo-con who will try to sound like Ron paul

Good post Max. Thanks for pointing it out!

RP would never even suggest something so ludicrous.

well sanford went to the bilderberg meeting...eh..the GOP has no one really because the NWO people wont' allow that to happen. I think building up the LP is the best..but, if the LP gains much ground , the NWO will infiltrate and compromise it if they haven't already because I don't trust the Cato crowd either. tones

+1 ...Liberty Forest too

Kindly leave instead of taking cheap shots at the forum that you post on.

What would President Gingrich do?

Mark my words - this is laying the groundwork for Gingrich and Sanford to run as a third party "neo-libertarian" ticket in 2012, and Glenn Beck is instrumental in the process of creating a base for this new group.

Haven't thought of that, good assessment however.

Beck was bitching the other day about not having to be 100% in agreement with libertarians in order to be libertarian.

 WTF happened to Sanford's claim that he was against pre-emption? He just lost any support he had from me.

He just lost a lot of points in my book...

"a lot"? try all

WTF has NK done to us that we should attack them?

NK is the last place on earth that any rational person would want to go to war. I KNOW! When I was active in the Marines, I was an Intelligence Analyst with a specific focus on North Korea.

Anybody proposing actually attacking them first while having certainly been read in as Gov Sanford MUST have been...quite aside from the Constitutional and politico-philosophic questions...IS FRIGGIN INSANE!!

Which is one of the reasons we have to do this from the local level on up. The way I look at it, when and if our federal government falls or sells our country to world government, it will only be a good thing to have infiltrated and sown the seeds of liberty at the local and state levels. But, that's just my opinion.

ETA - There is a very real reason I have been pushing this so hard lately....

RIGHT ON!!!! No party created by the elites will EVER BE CORRECT.

You can welch a bit and still be libertarian. But "a bit" doesn't mean you can support the state and its military committing wars of aggression. Sanford is dead to me as of now.

Newt is really into this whole "lose a city thing" as his latest justification for the bombing of countries (as well as the inevitable mass death of innocent human beings) that would follow) that have not attacked us. I volunteered at CPAC with CFL and his speech made me want to stick my head in a bag and make rude, violent noises.

So, we have electromagnetic weapons?

YUP!

Bah, I never delved deep into Sanford but I assumed he agreed with me on most things based upon a small sample of what I have seen him say in the news.

Fucking hell.

Why does nearly everyone with a fucking voice that can be heard and listened too with credibility by the fucking sheep-people seem bought off or bent on socialism or both besides Ron Paul............wait, don't answer that.

When asked what the number one problem in America was in one of the first primary debates, Ron Pau said "The fact that we now condone pre-emptive undeclared war."

I hate my damn government.

But, I love my damn country.

Fucking hell..........

Anybody who advocates for a preemptive NUCLEAR strike on ANYBODY does not deserve to hold ANY office of public trust. Not even dog-catcher.

E-Bombs And Terrorists: September 2001 Cover Story

http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/military_law/1281421.html

In the blink of an eye, electromagnetic bombs could throw civilization back 200 years. And terrorists can build them for $400.

The next Pearl Harbor will not announce itself with a searing flash of nuclear light or with the plaintive wails of those dying of Ebola or its genetically engineered twin. You will hear a sharp crack in the distance. By the time you mistakenly identify this sound as an innocent clap of thunder, the civilized world will have become unhinged. Fluorescent lights and television sets will glow eerily bright, despite being turned off. The aroma of ozone mixed with smoldering plastic will seep from outlet covers as electric wires arc and telephone lines melt. Your Palm Pilot and MP3 player will feel warm to the touch, their batteries overloaded. Your computer, and every bit of data on it, will be toast. And then you will notice that the world sounds different too. The background music of civilization, the whirl of internal-combustion engines, will have stopped. Save a few diesels, engines will never start again. You, however, will remain unharmed, as you find yourself thrust backward 200 years, to a time when electricity meant a lightning bolt fracturing the night sky. This is not a hypothetical, son-of-Y2K scenario. It is a realistic assessment of the damage the Pentagon believes could be inflicted by a new generation of weapons--E-bombs.

The first major test of an American electromagnetic bomb is scheduled for next year. Ultimately, the Army hopes to use E-bomb technology to explode artillery shells in midflight. The Navy wants to use the E-bomb's high-power microwave pulses to neutralize antiship missiles. And, the Air Force plans to equip its bombers, strike fighters, cruise missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles with E-bomb capabilities. When fielded, these will be among the most technologically sophisticated weapons the U.S. military establishment has ever built.

how would an electromagnet hurt North Korea? they have no computers or cars.

this is almost as dumb as some guy on c-span that wanted to ban Kia and Samsung products

Electromagnetic pulse weapons can only damage unprotected integrated circuitry without Faraday cages. It seems the North Koreans aren't well versed in rocketry but I'm sure they know how to protect their electronic boards somehow though.
