Too many of Ron Paul's supporters have little to no tact. They run around like Alex Jones bullhorning people into submission. Main reason I rarely post on these forums anymore. Maybe because most of them are young - this behavior can be traced to immaturity that they will hopefully grow out of over time. They don't realize they're shooting themselves in the foot most of the time w/ their style. I can't stand Cheney or Rummy but I'm going to pay them the same respect that I would hope their supporters would pay Paul when he speaks. But not most of the Paul kids. Oh no! They gotta intimidate everyone and jerks. I won't be disrespectful of Cheney's sorry ass simply b/c I don't want people to be disrespectful of Dr Paul. Anyway..

Cheney and Rummy also caused the death of thousands upon thousands of people; Ron, not so much. That said, yelling/booing does little to correct that fact.

Yes, many in our movement don't realize we can't win without them (neoCons). And Ron's not willing to try [independent run].

I generally agree with Carey on many issues.

Carey is a really nice guy and a talented broadcaster/writer

he deserves a bigger stage imo

i dont know if he agrees with us on everything but he is an intelligent guy and is willing to give a platform to often opposing views and an honest and frank assessment

He was always nice about Rand even when it looked a long shot for him to get the nominationwhen 20 points down Carey was saying he can beat Grayson and he did it on KET raising Rand's profile and prospects.

In that regard he proved to be an exceptional political analyst in Kentucky when most were already crowning Grayson.

Sometimes I think some people are here just to start trouble. Marc Carey is every bit the classic southern gentleman. I wish I was half as diplomatic as he is.

For four freaking years, we've been begging people just to listen to our position. Carey said he's ready to listen, but that's not good enough either?

What he just posted today, about the anti-Islam stuff coming from the Karl Rove playbook, isn't something I've heard anywhere else but here.
