Too little to late. As the infamous GWB declared, "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me you can't get fooled again."
If Rubio was so obtuse as to sponsor this legislation in the first place, he doesn't need to be anywhere near the reins of power. Who knows where he really stands, if it took public pressure to make him recant?

Do you have a link to this. I just got home and am doing some last minute research. He is getting a call no matter what. Im still going to voice my opinion and tell him not to support it.
Furthermore, i thought he was a co-sponser for PIPA. How the hell are you going to co-sponser a bill and not know what the hell is in it? We are fucking screwed with the jackasses in Congress right now.

This is why Ron Paul is running the campaign that he is running. Politicians, as he often says, have no principles. They vote for whatever will make them popular and win them re-election. If the electorate demands that politicians uphold Liberty, they will.
Just got off the phone with both offices.
Nelson's crew gave some canned speech and it sounded like one run on sentence. But my "concerns will be passed to the Senator".
Rubio's crew seemed pretty ignorant. I asked the lady why he withdrew his support and she told me to look at his facebook page where he explains it. I shit you not. She then said he still supports some type of action to combat internet piracy. I asked her what he feels is a decent way to combat it and she had no answer. They sure as hell are doing a shitty job of convincing me this is something we should support.

He supported the bill before knowing its full effect of censorship. Now that he knows, he's withdrawn. Yet the charges are still "crucify him, crucify him." Cut the guy a break
Of course i will crucify him. Dont support something you know nothing about. Do your due diligence then decide to support it or not. Sorry man but im not falling for this crap. He knew what was in it but the backlash has caught up with him and others. You cant claim ignorance.

The evil clowns in CONgress need to READ THE DAMN BILLS or RESIGN! It's legislative malpractice, and it just goes on and on and on.
I can't wait for President Paul to write on the front of the thousand page bills they send to him: tl;dr VETO.

Rand was supposed to originate a bill which would make it mandatory for ALL congressmen/senators to actually read the bills they are passing.This means the legislators would need to be given time to read and prepare. UNLIKE Pelosi who said 'we have to pass the bill,so that you can read what is in it'. make it an impeachable crime to PASS A BILL WITHOUT READING IT.

Not everyone who read the bill could have the technical knowledge to understand its widespread impact. It sounds like it has a noble goal of stopping piracy. I'm sure if lots of people on here straight read it they wouldn't understand either.
people here have a day job,so one can excuse them if they dont pay attention to all the details.legislators have staff and advisers to help them get thru their PRIMARY DUTIES.so when some people are protesting against it(it is not as if SOPA was opposed only starting yesterday),it is their DUTY to pay attention. i cant believe you are batting for those who derelict their oaths
