See you in Washington end of story. This is stupid to think in a revolution I need to "restore the constitution" with a permit from my government. Let use the first amendment while we still have it. What are they going to do Arrest us all. GOOD maybe that would make the news, 100,000 people arrested for Freedom. I'll be the first to do it. Here arrest me, I would enjoy my trail.

IT is sound strategy to work within the current system, UNTIL that system crosses the line. I'm glad they are pursuing a permit, I will also be glad to assemble peacefully on whatever date should that permit be denied.

Ever been to a rally in D.C.? Ever helped organize one? Be prepared to get booted out of the area by violent means if necessary. And be prepared for the backlash from the Ron Paul movement when your antics shove us 10 steps backward from the goal we are trying to accomplish.

Look, I understand your frustrations, but you have to understand that over 900 applications have been submitted for the summer months. Think of the permit as a reservation. That means, people who are taking the proper channels and put in for their dates early, are going to secure a venue while the renegade fringe of this movement barges in unannounced.

Look at it this way, if you made the effort to schedule a date, time and venue, would you like it if hundreds or thousands of people who are not part of your event showed up and disrupted it? No, I don't think you would, and the park police won't be in the mood for it either, trust me on this.

There is a time and place for everything, including civil disobedience. This is not yet the time for it. We must still try to adhere to the local regulations. Anyway, I doubt we could get Dr. Paul to show up to what you have planned.

Nah, they'll just paint our movement as a bunch of people with no respect for the rule of law in the media, toss a hefty fine at the campaign and anyone else involved, and write tickets to anyone involved. If they're feeling really feisty, and the crowd is very large or becoming in any way unruly or disrespectful to officers, they may break out water cannons or even bean bag guns. Only those who fail to disband and leave or require medical attention will be hauled off to jail.

I am all for legality etc. But at what time do we stop being pushed around and abused. Forty years of lawful protest has bought us little. When is enough enough? You cannot get a fair shake unless you play by the "rules" regardless of the legality of those rules.
We have no press, the voting apparatus is questionable at best, Redress has been denied by the Supreme Court. Article by article, the Bill of Rights is being nullified. They take away our rights, our tools, day by day. Are you all going to wait until it is all gone? What are we going to do when they take our internet? The Big 3 want to control it and stifle all dissenting voices.(we have no snail mail network)

But, the Founding Fathers had more unabridged rights than we do now and the Revolution was fought over lesser transgressions. Again I ask when is enough enough?

I posted this on another thread but it bears repeating here with regard to media attention and our objective:

This march isn't about getting media attention. Even if we got any, it would most likely be negative. The MSM is the enemy. This march is more about galvanizing the movement. The plan is to make a documentary of the event and go viral with it and continue to spread the word over the internet. We also plan to have as many of the cosponsors of HCR40 as possible to speak at the event. If you are unaware of what HCR40 is then you need to start by learning about it. Google it. The goal is to get as many speakers as possible who represent as many like-minded groups as possible i.e. NRA, GOA, MCDC, etc. we need to all come together, set up networks, and organize a plan to take our country back.

The media is owned by the very globalists who intend to take our sovereignty and our individual freedoms away from us. Personally, I don't want the bastards there at all! We need to put a pamphlet together that we can pass out to all the media-mall zombies about just how dangerous the media really is. Too many people still trust them and 90% of them can't be trusted.

I agree, Deb! And I support this whole heartedly but.....If it does not work this time around, When is enough enough? What than? What do we do after we are "galvanized". What do we do with the "old" McCainites that have no internet. And the people that have a hard time walking to their mailbox to pick up th paper.
Multi- organizational protests were practiced in the 60's to little effect. When do we "DEMAND" coverage? When do we reclaim Government and bend them to the peoples will?

I don't have the answer to that question, SL89. I share in your frustration. I think we have to take this one step at a time. We all have "old" McCainites in our circles of influence. It is up to us to reach them. They need to be educated about who owns the media and what their agenda is.

Purpose

If you look at this march it is to show our numbers according to Ron Paul. Mis-information, different dates and no clear goal of these marches other then showing numbers. I do think it is alot of work to put this together. But for me it needs a purpose. Do you think after thousands of people show up, washington will change course. Do think it will willingly reduce it's size, lower taxes, etc etc. If we need people to see our cause and hope they join us what is the goal of this revolution. This war will not end because of this march. Will anyone hear or see the message. The message was Ron Paul to have a voice in the white house and leadership. Since appears not to be happening is this a revolution with no action. I fear it will be to late for our country while we sit around for permits. National ID cards, taxes all these things we can refuse and should be the goals of actions. A revolution must have purpose and direction and a leader or voice. There must be a list and actions to take to protest not just a march. Refuse to pay income taxes next year, refuse the national id or real id. Do it has movement and on dates, National strikes. That will be on the news everyday and cause a stir in the media.
