Man uses nail clippers in DIY circumcision

It takes alot of balls... er fortitude.. er foreskin to take pinchy snippy things to your love truncheon.

Just like peeling the skin off a potato? Or like taking some length out of a turtle-neck sweater?

Why would a man want to do that to himself?

Circumcision is a sick, twisted attempt to desensitize in what should be a rewarding physical and mental union. I am anti both FGM and MGM. I honestly feel like it's one of the most important topics to me, as a child is defenseless and at the will of his/her parents and the medical establishment (which allows this cruel procedure to be done).

I know how there are studies that go both ways with regard to sensitivity and sexual enjoyment after male circumcision... but you can't ignore some of the straight facts (like it's protective purpose to help resist chafing, to keep the glans moist and soft, and that it itself also produces natural lubricant, quite like a female).

Unfortunately, parents of newborn sons are not well-educated on the circumcision topic. Because it is 'normal' to circumcise, the choice is often cosmetic as opposed to functional, which is really sad. Speaking about women my age, I don't think many would 'appreciate' an 'intact' male, as it's not all that common (unfortunately).

If I have a son, he will be intact. If he wants to get circumcised and that's his own decision then so be it, but I will not submit my baby boy to that torture.

You have a very moral and intelligent position on this. :)

Oh god, why did you have to post this? I was just going to clip my toenails and now this is going to be running through my head.

Bastard.

You seem to have done a lot of research on the topic lol.

Can the child even feel pain that young?

As far as I know, yes-that's why anesthetic is usually administered. A more important question is; "does the child have a right to his foreskin?" IMHO, the answer most consistent with the philosophy of liberty is "yes".

It would be interested to know what Ron's position is on this.... seeing as he is an OB/GYN.
