Man faces $75G a day in EPA fines for building pond -- on his property

I always appreciate a happy ending.

What's happy about this ending?
It played out exactly like a plea bargain.
They came at him with the full force of the state and threatened to take every single thing he owned, and murder him if he didn't comply.
And then they got him to back down to what they could have asked for from the beginning.

The EPA still exists, they still exert the same power over everyone, they still have the same rules on the books, and they now have a proven method of getting people to alter their land.
Johnson won nothing. He just didn't lose everything.

Willow trees are a pain in the neck. And a partial fence to control livestock? Isn't the point to water said livestock?
