At 4 yrs old I was learning to shoot with a .22.

Everyone had guns,, usually proudly displayed.
Wealthy folks had pretty gun cabinets (glass doors) with a dozen guns proudly displayed in their living rooms.

What a bunch of freakin' bed wetters.

And yea, kind of the same growing up ... everyone played cops and robbers, cowboys and indians, and assorted other stuff with toys and sticks, and we all new what a real gun was, because many parents owned them.

The crazy thing is,
We knew not to play with a real gun, because we had been taught of what they could do.

That story is ridiculous... Reminds me of how my brother got suspended from school once, because he was doodling a spaceship on the side of a paper, and the school police officer looked at it, thought that part of it resembled a gun, and freaked out over it. I know it was a few months after Columbine, but that's just being hysterical about it.
