Make Ron Paul Gary Johnson's Running Mate

There is no reason the two couldn't collaborate and Gary could delegate and bunch of work to Ron. That just might be a REALLY winning combo, with Gary's managerial skills and Ron's teaching skills.

I spoke with Gary about this over the summer. He told me that it was too late at that time for Ron to get on most of the ballots and run third party.

Gary is already on the ballot in all 50 states.

I don't think being on all the ballots is that big a deal unless you are a party trying for ballot access. I just want to see Ron in the debates and if we do write in campaigns in a bunch of states and even miss a couple, that just isn't a big deal to me, personally. I think if Ron is willing to run, what makes it worth it is his being in the presidential debates. Gary being there does nothing for me, at least.

ill vote for that ticket. ron would hopefully get to debate biden and ryan. they couldnt censor him as easily as they did in the debates. im calling rons office tuesday and leaving him a message of support if he decides to do it. im in for $1000 if he does.

Its all about marketing. Lots of people out there that have made up their minds and will not vote for RP based on what their media masters have told them about him. Gary would be a new face out in front to get the people think of as another option. Almost all of RP's supporters would vote for a Johnson/Paul ticket. I believe that more people overall would vote for J/P then Ron just running independently. Although, it would be great to see Ron in the debates. Im not sure what to think anymore, I just hope something good happens.

More people voted for Ron in the primaries than GJ, more people polled for him third party than for GJ, in fact Ron was over 15% all but one time, when Rasmussen had him at 13%, but Rasmussen's likely voter method doesn't include first time voters since it is based on past voting practices, as I understand it. The other times Ron had 18%, 17-18%, and 21% in a three way race.

well, I sure don't remember us ever mining Gary Johnson forums to come help Ron, but I can see why Gary wants to run for President. It is just that Ron brings more than he would get a return on as VP, so it doesn't make sense for him to run LP in that case, he should just go independent, imho.

This will instantly get him on the ballot in all the States that the LP and an energized RP base can get them on and there may be a tacit agreement for GJ to resign if he wins, thus letting Ron win. Ron can easily get around the sore loser run because he won't be running for the same position. This time he'd be running for VP. Wink Wink.

If so, both the parties will be shown to be as bad. People NOTICED what happened at RNC. I think it was definitely worth the fight.

Gary Johnson has worked hard for our vote, but if he wants to work hard for our trust and respect, he should have no problems with stepping down.

If Gary Johnson wants to kick start his campaign he simply needs to announce he would appoint Ron Paul as his Secretary of the Treasury. That would work best.
