So I stumbled onto theobamaforum.com and it was like waking up in a nightmare. I cannot believe some of the ideas these people have. Here's a quote from the thread: "The more money in circulation the more people will have and thus the better the economy will be. It's simple economics." So by that logic, if everyone had millions of dollars, we'd all be living in mansions. :D

Seriously, check out this thread, it will freak you out: http://www.theobamaforum.com/showthread.php?t=121

Lol... I almost became very depressed until I realized where you linked :p

I hope that's a fake forums set up for well...you know, like all the others.

if it's not fake...well, they don't know anything---it'd cause massive, massive employment (or underemployment), put even more strain on the people who would earn that $25-$100 an hour, and in the instances where a company still had to hire someone? It'd force prices up by an insane amount...."Welcome to McDonalds, would you like to try something off of our $20 menu?"

trying to point out fallacies to people like this is...usually hopeless, as it requires a basic grasp of economics..

wtf? If that forum is fake, then I feel like an idiot. I keep saying to myself, "It has to be fake! It has to be fake!" Someone tell me it is so I can sleep tonight.

If that happened, it would cause instantaneous hyperinflation. If only 100,000,000 people worked for that wage (I believe over 200,000,000 work), and that is all people worked for, it would make the total income of the nation $20,800,000,000,000, and that would have to be in the money supply because money simply doesn't change hands that fast. Incorporate that people will want to save and companies want to make a profit (not to mention that more people would really work, and many would get much higher wages), you get instant hyperinflationary spiral.

I may be alone here, but I just looked through a few of the threads.... If these people are for real.... I am going to go repeatedly hit my head against the wall for the next 48hrs or until I forget that there are people in this world that dumb.

However, it just seems sooooo ridicules, they link mises.org and talk about how great Peter Schiff is in a few threads(??) And they Voted for BO?

Please Help! I AM SO CONFUSED..... Feel... Aneurysm.... Coming... on...

lol. same here. that forum is really freaking me out.

Everyone else is asleep--sugarplums n all--and I'm wide awake now thanks to that damn site. I need to get to bed. I've decided I'm going to assume it's a joke site, because if that forum is real, I'll probably have a stroke.

Goodnight.

There was much more respect from rank & file members for Ron Paul on DU than on the conservative equivalent site Freerepublic.

That should tell us something.
Ron does get more respect on "conservative" sites now. post-bailouts, I mean.

in primary season the left liked Ron only for his war stance. As soon they heard his views on the welfare state and free markets they ran a mile.

It's funny to see the left run.

Ron also gets good vibes on DU because of his bailout stance.

In addition, I never saw calls for Ron Paul to be executed or jailed for treason on DU as I did on FR.

No one on the Left advocated interning RP supporters in concentration camps as did at least one flag humping, mouth-breathing, knuckle-dragging neocon talk show host.

OH MY GOD. What the hell!??????????????????

"we won't be lucky enough for $100/hr"? dude... it's like claiming that if we all had HIV then the HIV disease wouldn't be as issue. WTF are they thinking!~
