Major Leading U.S. Presidential Candidate to be "Outed" 1:30pm today

This is kind of vague... it would seem to point to McCain, but in the field we have it could literaly be anyone except Ron Paul.

Well, if it is Flynt who's outing the person, and it's a republican senator he wants to out, then it'll be either Thompson or McCain. If I remember correctly, he doesn't claim it will be a FORMER senator... He says a senator... If that's the case, it has to be McCain.

Heh...

Fox News: "Today it was reported that Ron Paul is a LIBERTARIAN. Yes, it has been confirmed. A LIBERTARIAN before he became a Republican. It's probably over with for him now."

lol did they actualy say that?
That reminds me, I've seen a lot of articles reffering to Ron Paul as a "libertarian candidate" which seems odd because I thought he was a member of the Republican party.

Its a senator and ron paul is not a senator cool down.

Where has anyone heard that it was a senator. Read the post again. It does not say that. End of story.

If you are referring to the Larry Flynt thing--that was THREE SEPARATE PEOPLE:

* a Republican presidential candidate
* a well-known Republican senator (a closeted gay)
* another "prominent conservative official" (this is described in the article as involving "hooker parties and no-tell-motel liaisons")

No... I said it in jest, but I do think they do keep throwing out the name libertarian to discredit him.

My wife recently updated her Facebook profile to say her political views were libertarian, and within 24 hours, one of her friends sends her a message saying "libertarian? say what?"

I know before I learned about Ron Paul I thought libertarians were all anti-everything whackos. Of course I now consider myself a libertarian, but only after learning all the issues and thinking them through, and realizing that if you intend to follow the constitution, you are implicitly a libertarian.

Isn't great to support a candidate that doesn't have to worry about scandels like this :)

Does this help us or hurt us if McCain is outed? Would they go over to Romney, not go to the polls, or would independents come to us instead?

Even if they go somewhere else, I can't see this hurting us if it's McCain, because McCain will be pretty much done unless he wins NH, and right now we're polling third anyway. If Paul finished in front of McCain in NH... voters everywhere will take him very seriously. It's how Reagan won.

Depends on what they say. I'm hoping it's big enough to give Paul the rest of McCain's independent votes.

McCain is a close (very close) second to Hillary as the dirtiest candidate running for President. I may not like Mitt, but he's squeaky clean compared to this guy.

There are plenty of people who say he collaborated with the enemy, and was jet-setting around Europe during the last 2 of the 6 years he was supposedly being held and "tortured." His arm may have been injured in the jump.
